Game doesn't load properly... Anyone able to help?
try running the game in safe mode and from there setting the resolution to your desktop settings...
after that the smarter people on here should be able to help you if you post a hijackthis and cohelper log
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.
No go.. Safe mode or no safe mode I get the same thing...
hmmm just for the sake of trying, I would run those two programs, can find them in the common solutions, i'm literally running out the door to work or I'd post links for you
but anyway run hijackthis and cohhelper and post them up, the tech brains on here should be able to help you out, god know's they've helped me in the past!

there is an issue with one of the graphics drivers for nVidia with windows 7. I never ran into the issue when I was running the win 7 beta but its cropped up on the boards here a few times!
Combat Kangaroos, Justice Server. First 50's
Jirra Roo Plant/Storm/Stone/Musculature Controller
Combat Kangaroo Rifle/Energy/Mace/Spiritual Blaster
Kung Fu Kangaroo Martial Arts/Reflexes/Body/Spiritual Scrapper
Tribal Arc Shield/Elec/Mu/Spiritual Tanker
Don't use the nVidia 186.xx drivers. Use the 185.xx drivers and you'll be fine. The 186.xx drivers cause this in Vista and Windows 7.
I believe this is what Mike_Aaron was referring to:
First, post a log from running CoH Helper as it will give information about your system and the CoH installation and settings.
Second, post a log from running HijackThis. This will show what else is going on on your computer while you are playing CoH.
But ... I'd still roll back the drivers to the 185.xx version as that has been the resolution for the symptoms you describe.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Texas, thanx... That did work... Sorta... Now the problem is the game keeps crashing my drivers. I see this was a common issue in vista and work arounds there in, but on win7 I have no idea what to do.
Can't help you there. I have a Win7 install running on my Dell and the game runs fine on it with the same settings as I have on my normal Vista install on the same computer. Two hard drives make it very easy to run a dual boot system. I also have an ATI video card and not an nVidia card, so I'm going to get different issues than you will.
You might try posting the CoH Helper and HijackThis logs and maybe someone will spot something causing the problem.

Ok, so I'm getting this
"The NVIDIA Open GL Driver encountered an unrecoverable error and must close this application.
Error 14"
I'm sure this is the same issue vista was having before the hotfix... Anyone here have a sollution?

Ok, close this puppy up... I used an old driver (181.71) and I'm running golden... So much for playNC's " You need to use vista or xp".
GAHH!!! Strike that... it works longer but still crashes.
So recently had some PC issues, and was unable to fix them for about a week or two. (The length of an RMA) When I came back I reformatted my HD, reinstalled windows 7, and was unable to log on to the game. The game changes my resolution, drops me into windows 7 basic color scheme, and all I get is a black screen. I can hear the game music and the dinging of my typing at the log in, but see nothing...
I'm not sure if this is from the new update or just something batty. Any help would be great!!

Can't think of anything else that would possible be needed, but can provide it.
THanx in advance.
