Virtue has tons of real CC's. ....best Marvel, best DC, these happen all the time. ...

[/ QUOTE ]

I certainly hope not. That would be against the EULA and endangering our beloved game.

[/ QUOTE ]

Maybe Marvel or DC Inspired?

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry, forgot to put inspired in my post. But yeah, they're a hoot. Some people bring some outfits so obscure, you have to use an encyclopedia to find out who they are.

Judges have odd, or bad taste maybe.
But Fake? Makes no sense. Why?

I don't understand either. There's no reason to make a public event out of an inf transaction.

Some of them are oddly private about who wins, I've noticed. They will give the winners things in secret. Possibly to avoid accusations or to be insulted when people don't like the costumes they picked.

I'm very vocal when I do mine. I announce each and every winner, how much they won, and why I picked them. Sure, I get people who whine that I didn't pick them, or say I have "no taste," but that's okay by me. I also have people making wild assumptions about the choices I make. Any type of trend that appears, people will claim "So I just need a funny costume to win," or magic costume parts, or to be in black and white. There are sometimes sore losers, who will go on to make it into a conspiracy theory.

Heh, it's like anything else. CCs aren't ALL rigged, but holy heck does it leave a nasty taste in your mouth when one blatantly is. Even if you're just watching one, it's a pretty despicable display.

I don't run CCs anymore (not in 4 years or so) but occasionally if I'm in Atlas on a 50 with a bunch of spare inf. I'll swing by somebody else's contest and offer "supplemental prizes" to costumes *I* like but that didn't make the cut for the official host. Makes it less of an exercise in futility when somebody random hands you a million inf. even if you're not the underdressed ****** or the darktiy dark demon of the week.

Though I don't currently and have never held my own, I've been known to hand out prizes to CC "losers" as well. It's gotta be a combo: nice costume, name, and the bio to back it up. Skin-showing types and demons have been on that list, just depends if I think it's done well.

I've never entered a CC, as I'm very much of the low-key, military, or "street" schools of design, none of which have much of a chance against the competition. However, I have been gifted myself as in the above.

When I hosted my RP- CC, I gave out some honourable mentions too- some people who had nice costumes, but no bios. And before I commenced narrowing down the finalists, I gave consolation prizes to everyone else who had come out, thanking them for coming out to play with us that evening.

I like to fly by costume contests, check out the contestants, and award the person =I= think has the best costume some influence. Win-win.

They all laughed at me when I said I wanted to be a comedian.
But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!
