I heard rushed to a hospital, but not dead.
Fox News just confirmed it. The local news feeds are reporting it too.

I won't comment about his personal life and troubles, but I think he had quite an impact in the music world.
I don't see a confirmation on Fox, Bay.
I am afraid I cannot over look criminal activity of perhaps the worst kind and say I feel any sorrow at his death. The world would have been a better place if he had died as a child.

As a member of the rather modern generation, I can say I only knew of Michael Jackson as a cosmetic surgery freak and possible criminal of the worst kind. My familiarity with his music is nonexistent, and his death will be seen as a fortunate end to what was at best insanity.
I wonder if he donated money to his favorite university........Bring em young university....
Knowing MJ if his family doesnt spend all the money first he prolly left it to his monkey.....
Them Kids are prolly going to be in therapy for years,,,,,,
and this time its not just micheal playing doctor...
slash rimshot exits stage left
as Ood Sigma said....We will sing to you, Doctor. The universe will sing you to your sleep. This song is ending. But the story never ends.
I heard rumor that he was planning on returning the rights to The Beatles music to Paul McCartney. I hope that deal went down before he died yesterday.
I'm kinda split over the news of his death. As someone who's experienced his carreer from his rise to stardom in the late 70's to the 90's, and then his apparent sink into insanity and criminality, I have seem the highest high and the lowest low he could get. I have no doubt that he molested them little boys. The evidence is just too strong for me to ignore.
On the musical standpoint, he was a lyrical genius. He was very smart in that way. He also knew what sold, and what made money. He could dance his little [censored] off like nobody's business. He was a pop icon, and will never be forgotten for his contributions to the music world. He was also a pretty shrewd business man. I mean, he bought the rights to the Beatles music. Hell, he coulda lived on the royalties if he so chose.
*sigh* idk ... I'm sad at the loss of a musical and pop culture icon, and I'm also relieved at the loss of a child molester.
I just remembered a conversation my cousin Eddie and I had a long time ago. In 1983. We were talking about Michael Jackson and his music, and stuff. Long before the looniness set in. We were huge fans. We somehow got on the subject that if he had died, we would both cry. I cried. -- Keep in mind that I cried remembering his musical legacy and that memory of the way I saw him when I was 10 years old.
