Who are the Illuminati of Triumph?
I'm going to post something today some time. I've just been really busy this week. If I start typing it now, I'll be stuck at work longer this afternoon. :-p

Off the top of my head. These are the people that I notice that are always involved in getting events/raids/tf's organized on our server.
[/ QUOTE ]
I guess I should clarify this a bit...
There are tons of players behind the keyboard and mouse who do a lot for friends/sg mates/Triumph server when it comes to events and stuff.
If we separate our "real" selves from our characters and look at our favorite toons as if they were real people is more of what I was asking.
As an example;
IRL I like to help organize events and help out people etc. in-game, but if I were to look at Shard as a real person, I can say with certainty she would not be in any kind of "illuminati" type group of heroes.
Shard is in many ways very much a loner. Most of the reasons why is she has trust issues. She has been horribly betrayed in her past by people she respected, admired and loved, and this is something that has remained with her.
It is not that she does not trust other heroes per say, since she knows they are different people from those who harmed her in the past; there is just a part of her that will always want to keep other people at arms length.
Her issues also stem from having close friends killed during the Rikti War on her homeworld - something she blames herself for. This has also caused her to not get too close with anyone here, including Jade-Star who Shard considers "a sister in all but blood and best friend".
I picture Shard more like Batman is with the Justice League. He is part of the team and is a good friend to them all, but he also keeps that kryptonite in his utility belt at all times, just in case.
So from a pure character standpoint - taking your real self out of the equation - which of our characters would be an illuminati here?
[/ QUOTE ]
LOL, RP!
Many of my characters have bios but I typically don't take it any farther than that.
Arc 185502: Who Killed Snow Globe? a mini mystery Put together the clues to solve the case!
Arc 22832: And Hell Hath No Fury (extreme)
Will you be the key to the Knives of Artemis' survival? or the instrument of their destruction?
I have a couple of characters that are involved with some flavor of secret societies, but not specifically the Illuminati.
Prior to joining the Global Heroics, Miss Kenya was an thief/assassin-for-hire for a group that had their hands involved with a large scale conspiracy of world domination.
Miss Somalia is a member of a mystic secret society that bends parallel realms into each other. They know the secrets and knowledge that lets them create crossovers between spirit realms and human realms.

I still would select Obsidius. Even before he was a hero in this world, in his last world, once he was freed, he was a member of a couple of secret organizations that fought and shared information together. He's also brought his knowledge from his old world to this one, studies the arcane, and collects magic artifacts when he isn't watching for criminals from rooftops. He doesn't mind sharing secret knowledge, so long as it's an equal trade. He is also more of an antihero than he often lets on. He would represent the magic/ arcane aspect of the Triumph Illuminati.
Edit: Obsdiius is also OVER 9000!!!
All my heroes on Tri are part of a the GHOST Squad "black ops" team called The Shadow Court. They all come from the fringes of "normal" society and are happiest working behind the scenes and taking on the tasks that no one else wants or will do. Kind of X-men like when they were still underground and despised by the general population. At least that's how I think about them in my mind....but then again I my mind isn't exactly "normal". I mean c'mon I work in the fashion industry, how sane can that be

I guess that would be Az'rial...he is supposed to be the embodiment of the fallen Angel of Death that is trying to redeem himself to get back into Heaven.
Rhynwa is not the Illuminati type. She is the leader of an OLD religious sect, and would like to wipe out the undead (as well as evil, and Rikti.)(As in @Rikti... the aliens are just bothersome.)(Heeeeheeeeheeee) - so really not.
I don't think I have any toons that would fit. I have an anti-social donkey, an anti-social plant, a goodie-two-shoes marching band drum major, a religious leader, somebody's Mama, a Blacksploitation hero who just wants to stick it to the Man, a Dr. Who companion - sorta, a completely-devoid-of-background ice/fire tank, and a very naughty woman who likes hurting people. I would not nominate a single one of this group to the Illuminati.
But thanks for thinking of me... :-)
/e waves at the naked Hami Raid leader. I will not tell everyone you are not telling us everything.
Vic Torre.......

Very cool thread!
I totally think my main character would join an Illuminati type secret organization. I think he would be a part of anything that promotes justice, even from the shadows.
While Obs would represent the magic/arcane aspects of the group, Em would bring the technology and gadgets. He would help bankroll the secret organization, and can muster an army of Green and Gold soldiers at a moments notice, if needed.
Fusion Force
Emerald Fusion was one of the first to come to mind, as well as Obsidius. I would also consider Catwhoorg and Cath.
MF BOUNCE, out of all the characters of mine, he's probably the only one to fit.
As far as roles, I mentioned to Shard last night that Catharctic's bio works into this idea quite nicely. This isn't his bio, but this is how I tie it in to our version of The Illuminati.
Henry Johnston is a genetic scientist that was gifted/cursed with his Ice powers during an Arachnos raid on his lab. He's fully taken on the mantle of responsibility of protecting Paragon and the world (with a noticeable aggression toward Arachnos). Keeping tabs on what's going on with a secret organization just makes sense for him. He would see it as an extension of his normal heroism and leadership. I've already hinted at it, but Hank's motives would be two-fold:
1) Protect Paragon and the world.
2) Monitor the Illuminati to make sure it doesn't get out of hand.
Fun idea. I like the bio of the Illuminati too.
@Turbo_Starr
So far we have;
Obsidious
Emerald Fusion
Az'Rial
Catharctic
We may want to have a couple of others who not only fit the character concept but have SERIOUSLY UBER debuffing capability. Trust me on that one.
Shard Warrior - 50 MA/Regen/BM Scrapper
Founding Member and Leader : Shadow-Force
Co-Leader: Council of Heroes

avvatar and dawun are the entire 8 person illuminati
UltraBatz would probably be the type to join the Illuminati- he's a pretty easy going, good natured guy, yet fierce warrior and tactician. He always believes in strength in numbers in order to defeat evil. He's opposite of a Batman in some ways, probably more like a Superman or Spiderman when it comes to his persona. He's also a bit naive though when it comes the shades of gray- to him, good guys are good, bad guys are bad, and fighting for a just cause should be enough to get you to triumph over evil. He may have some difficulties when Going Rogue (not Going Rouge!!! aaargh!) comes out.
ps- this is a kuul thread discussion!
pps- this is weird talking about UltraBatz in the 3rd person- I thought I AM UltraBatz!?

You've no idea how well that works
There will be plenty of "shades of gray" for them all to discuss
Were the toons listed veterans of the first Rikti War by chance?

Since Az has been around from the "time" that Lucifer Morningstar was tossed out of Heaven, that would be a yes.

Kay as a character would definitely join something like this, she'd do anything she could to help out people in need as stated in her bio.
[ QUOTE ]
But yes, Kay might need to be in the list somewhere. She even has her own channel

[ QUOTE ]
Hey I firmly took over that channel to make it a joint venture! Only I alone am allowed to love Kay! It's now called The Mixing Bowl! =P
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah we turned ILK into TMB. Just our little group of friends hanging out, and as we make more friends they get mixed in. Yay metaphors!
Oh yeah and 'cause MB is only allowed to love me, lol.

Catharctic received his name from the press for fighting off the Arachnos invasion of Siren's Call. He's wise beyond his heroic years, even though he's a "youngin" to Paragon City.
He's been a vital part of the effort to clean up the Warzone with Vanguard, though.
