An AE Solution
/Signed if you can go back in time and malke the devs announce this from the very start. Doing it now will get the 'MA WILL BECOME A GHOST TIOWN!' whining from farmers etc.
Eco.
MArcs:
The Echo, Arc ID 1688 (5mish, easy, drama)
The Audition, Arc ID 221240 (6 mish, complex mech, comedy)
Storming Citadel, Arc ID 379488 (lowbie, 1mish, 10-min timed)
the devs have already touted and sold for real money AE as a way to level from 1-50 so i guess its time to go back to the drawing board for you...
plus why punish the non-farmers... what i hate about reg missions is all the travelling from zone to zone... now in AE I can and have made my own or done other missions SOLO (yes I group sometimes... but when no groups are avble... which is common at low levels... i SOLO AE)
we need a new forum named "I solved the AE problem and failed" crowd
There is a thread for this very thing here:

The development team and this community deserved better than this from NC Soft. Best wishes on your search.
Oh yay. Another thread offering a "solution."
This may be a little off topic but how do these farmers affect how you play? I'm asking this honestly; what can't you do with MA now that you will be able to do once the design of the system changes?
Architect Entertainment on paper was an amazing idea, but in practice it was not executed perfectly, as most of the CoX community knows AE has opened a huge door for Farmers. It wasnt long before things spiralled out of control as they did into a huge farming fest to a point where the Developers have threatened to ban those guilty of exploiting the AE system. This has quelled the number of broadcasted farms a fair bit but has no where near stopped the issue of farming.
Solutions such as removing XP and other such Farmable Rewards from the system have been suggested, these are doomed to fail and cripple the AE system if followed through. If these Rewards are removed the Developers will most likely witness a very large and significant drop in users who actively use AE. Something that I do not believe is what the Developers wish for. Some other proposed solutions have potential to work but many have holes in them in a way that they will not effectively stop farming as a whole.
So this leads me to a solution I have come up with while playing the game. A solution inspired by an already working system, Patrol Experience. In my eyes to effectively remove Farming from AE is to turn the current normal experience gained from AE into Virtual XP.
Now to explain how Virtual XP would work, it is basically identical to Patrol XP. When playing missions in AE the user gains virtual experience, you cannot level with virtual experience just as you cant level with patrol experience. This virtual XP will accumulate up to 10 bars, exactly as patrol XP does. Once a player gains the max 10 bars of Virtual XP they will no longer gain any virtual XP from the AE system. Virtual XP will give a bonus of 50% XP gain from any critters defeated outside of AE. Of coarse the numbers are all subjected to what the Developers would want, but in essence this system could effectively remove farming from AE.
Overview:
-Virtual XP is gained through defeating critters in AE.
-All critters (Minions, LTs, Bosses, etc) will give the same Virtual XP as each other to prevent farming bosses, etc, for their higher Virtual XP.
-Will give a 50% bonus to Experience gained from critters outside of AE.
-Can only accumulate 10 bars worth of Virtual XP.
-AE will no longer give Virtual XP if the player already has 10 bars of Virtual XP.
-Any dept gained will be deducted from the Virtual XP just like Patrol XP.
