STF
You're going to have a rough time of it without support. One With the Shield will help, as will trying to get as many HP and regeneration bonuses as possible through accolades and IO set bonuses. If you have room for Aid Self in your build, that will help as well. My Shield/SS managed it with an Illusion/Emp controller supporting me, but a Rad, Dark, or Sonic Resonance character could also help.
Rad heals weren't enough even with sonic shields to make up the dmg when LR hits.

The Blue Tower offers Recluse +30% tohit, so 45% def won't be enough. If you want to floor him (to 10.5%) you'll need to be sitting at 75% def. Bring either def buffers and/or purples (I suggest t2 or greater if you can).
Thanks. I was eating purps but he still managed to get a few hits in that sunk me. Also I went through my whole inspi tray a few times while the rest of the team tried and failed to kill even 1 tower.
Any tips on where to pull LR while the team hits towers?

I was playing my Shield Tank who is not quite softcapped (43+% melee, 42+% ranged, & like 41.7% AOE) for a STF run the other week. We lost our Emp before last mish and everyone was sweating how we would finish. Now we had a Kinectics defender but no other support toon left. We cleared everything up to LR, then I went to get inspires. On the way back to mish, I asked a friendly Sonic resonance troller for buffs (they were waiting to start their own STF run). Once in, the Flier had respawned. So by the time we defeated it, the sonic buffs were almost gone. Here's how it went: first inspire tray-- I had mostly respites and lucks with a few oranges. Watching my stats-- I used OwtS and dropped a few lucks to get to around 75% defense. Keep that defense number up there, stagger those lucks so they all dont run out at same time. When Sonic buffs finally went, turned on the Wedding Band and dropped oranges to keep my resists up. Team attacked blue tower, then red. I got hit more then a few times but my regen rate plus the respites kept me up. After the blue and red tower were down, LR hardly hit me and my survival was guaranteed. We had lots of damage so the towers went down fairly quickly. I continued to use Lucks and oranges for those times he seemed to get a lucky streak in.
I've also done this with my BS/ SD scrapper on an all scrapper STF. Though the lower HP and resist caps made it more problematical. I died more than a few times on that 1 and last mish took almost 2 hrs but we were persistent.
AS for where to taunt or pull LR? I found that straight back away from where the Flier respawns works well just in case it comes back. Just be sure to let him stay close to you so AAO can disrupt his pet summoning. And make sure if someone is buffing you, tell them where and when you will move
In my experience the best place to pull LR to is into the corner behind the green tower... you're out of aggro range of the Flier if it respawns at an inconvienent time and your team will probably end up there; my teams typically run Red, Blue, Yellow, Green on the towers.
On tanking LR I've found my Insp tray to be invaluable; for LR I like to have a loadout of 4+ medium oranges, 8+ medium/large purples (until the blue tower drops you need 75% def to floor him!) and a couple or three big greens for when LR gets lucky. If I run low I arrange ahead of time for a few teammates to feed me insps at need. Usually my basic loadout is plenty though. Now this is from an Inv tanker perspective, you may need a few more oranges with a Shield. I only have to keep oranges active until the red tower dies.
I'd certainly recommend popping OWTS prior to engaging LR... with luck it'll last thru the Red tower.

How is a soft-capped Shield tank supposed to tank LR in last mish of STF? He sorta punches thru anything.
