Energy/storm... basically as much KB as possible
I don't PvP, but I find my Eng/Storm pretty fun. Probably not the best combo from a min/max standpoint, but I enjoy the whole flinging enemies like toys bit.
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
I don't think you can stack KB unless the effects are part of a toggle or pulsing pet...So yeah. You'll be able to stack KB. Throw down Freezing Rain, walk up to an enemy with Hurricane on, and fire off Power Push. It should be a combined KB factor of 66.9, according to Mids.
If you wanna go for it, then have fun with it. Slot for KB!
I'd, uh, let teams know before joining them, though. If they get all mad about you bouncing things off of walls, then they might boot you. Other people might take one look at your powersets and them drop you. KB isn't very popular on teams because it can mess up someone's AoEs and interfere with Stalkers and brutes hitting their targets. And enemies can be bounced into another mob, causing trouble.
Also, KB isn't going to do much more than annoy people in PvP or knock them out of their travel powers. Good for keeping them for running, but that's about it.
And you might have endurance issues. Energy and Storm both use a lot of endurance.
Honestly, though, it sounds pretty fun for an alt. :P
Too many alts to list.
Yeah, I'm fully aware that this kind of character could cause a lot of frustration in teams. I've played with characters that only have one KB attack and been told to just not use it at all. I generally find that kind of behavior lame, but whatever I can't tell other people what they like. I mostly just wanna see if relying solely on knockback as a damage mitigator is usefull or works in PvE. And then yeah I only really plan on being an annoyance if I PvP with this. I've found it fun so far. And I've always loved tornado, though most people scream when you pull it out.

What do you mean according to Mids?
"...now me actually stop to go to the bathroom, as opposed to me just doing it while me walk..."
Mid's Hero/Villian planner.
Google gogo
I have one at 50...
If it's not a tank, you can knock it back, most of the time...
Damage is pretty weak, though, and the endurance is murder. It IS a hoot to play though in both PvP and PvE
I have a character I use for PuGs named Clooless Noobie, who's an Energy/Storm.
She's a disappointment, though - my instincts don't really let me scatter very effectively, since I keep knocking things towards the Brute and keeping things shoved against walls and corners.
I even had someone tell me that I was a great player and that the name was a blatant lie!
it has gone from unconscionable to downright appalling that we have no way of measuring our characters' wetness.

I have a lvl 50 energy/storm, too. He's really fun to play, and is the undisputed KING OF KNOCKBACK! That being said, he's pretty useful on teams against AV/EBs. With Hasten activated I just sit there spamming Tornados (which won't knock back an AV; they just chew on them for decent damage) and Lightning Storms while debuffing them with Freezing Rain and Hurricane (which also won't knock back AVs), all while sneaking in the occasional Power Burst. I have Hurricane 6-slotted with Dampened Spirits for max-debuff (and 7.5% status protection), not knockback.

The only reason it's not very popular is because most of the population that have KB don't know how to properly utilize it, which causes problems when dealing with teammates. If you pick up things quickly, this could be a very valuable asset to a team. However, you'll have to go through the learning curve, which you may want to spend lots of time soloing to figure out how to best utilize the knockback.
People hate KB because of people's inability to use it properly or the fact the team members are lazy. Sometimes it's column A, sometimes it's column B, most of the time it's column C, which is both. Column D is great and your team will flourish. I've been trying to get my name out there with my Storm characters, but most don't go looking for me directly. That being said, most are happy after the first 2 or so mobs to have me. It takes great finesse to know how to use knockback. Oh yes, and there's the occasional time in column D that the knockback won't go as you expect. Flaws happen to everyone (since we're human), just most can see and complain about this one.
50s: Bla- Arch/Mental Cont- Mind/FF, Earth/Cold, Ill/Therm, Earth/Rad Dominator- Plant/Psi, Elec/Earth Corr- Fire/Storm, Arch/Sonic, Rad/Kin, Beam/Sonic, Psi/Time Stalker- Elec/SR Def- Storm/Dark, Emp/Psi, Dark/Elec, FF/Arch, TA/Ice, TA/Elec, Kin/AR, Cold/DP, Traps/Psi Scrap- Fire/Shield Tanker- Dark/Mace, Ice/Kin Brute- Claws/WP, SS/Energy, BS/Elec
Yep.... those snafu moments are great. You're on a razor's edge in teams, finessing the mobs into repel/kb oblivion. But one misjudged cone or one slip of hurrcane and everyone ends up looking at you. KB is both very rewarding and very unforgiving...
Has anyone done this and found it to be the dumbest idea ever? I plan on having tornado and whirlwind and 6 slotting gale for acc and recharge. I generally think it's a stupid idea but somehow sound like it might be fun. Also I'm wondering how KB stacks in PvP and if I throw around enough can I manage to KB people that would usually not be KB'd? Also can you run hurricane and whirlwind at the same time? Feel free to openly mock all of these ideas...
