If Mid's would get off his [censored] and add the pvp sets i would have used them.

[/ QUOTE ]

Mids has given up the project. Another guy is working on it now.

[/ QUOTE ]

You can go into the DB editor and make them yourself.. It local though

Working in the Mids database is a pain in the [censored]. I don't envy whomever is taking over the project.

Yea i've tried doing that as well.....made me want to *slit wrist* after an hour working in mids. FF is not as good as TA.....the repel is nice..but WP and EA can get thru it.....and any mez takes care of it pretty easy. I would rather face a bubbler then a TA any day. Acid arrow is probaly the most annoying thing for me...keeps me out of hide for like 30 mins (jk) lol Not quite that long..but it does feel like forever. That damn DOT....

Yeah but being hit by Force Bubble will drop Stealth + Stealth IO (not Hide) even if you aren't actually repelled so you'll be bait as soon as you get hit.

Just to touch base here RQ, i have to ask, the reactor is kinda lulzy right? ive been considering moving a stalk over to freedom simply to kill him repeatedly :X

Posted

Yeah. I wouldn't waste time though, he'll just fly up to zone cap or run back to base.

I don't even know what toon's he plays tbh. Whatever it is..i'm sure i've killed him tons. He's not worth $10.

Eh, i play triumph mostly, been considering makin/movin a toon to freedom for occassional practice, but im kinda borderline with it, dont know too many vill players over there.

Only vill player i have on my global that plays freedom is cyclo, and im not sure if he still plays, saw somewhere that he doesnt, but idk i dont look at my friends list much.

Need? No. Eight points is enough to stop the majority of KB that's floating around in the zones (KO Blow, and attacks with KB as a secondary effect such as those in Energy Blast), but there are powers people will take and slot specifically to knockback players to set up damage spikes (examples include Lift, Levitate, Force Bolt, and Power Push). My Therm has 12 points (3 -KB IOs) and that's enough to stop almost everything short of the powers I mentioned in that second list. Ideally you'd want to build for KB protection in the high 40s but not all builds can squeeze that in (most of mine are somewhere around 30, including Acrobatics).

[/ QUOTE ]

Keep in mind that DR wrecks -KB. My Corr has 14 points of protection in PvE that gets reduced to 4.9 in zones.

DR also wrecks KB slotting in KB powers (DR applies even to slotted enhancements - yes, even SOs - it's like ED 2.0). Only way to really not have to worry about DR at all is to go into a zone on a completely un-accoladed and unenhanced character.

This is what makes me wish they would just give us a way to take away the rediculous 40% resist to all in arena. . . playing no dr without it is rediculous

I had asked Castle on test recently if they had worked on adding a "no universal resists" option, and he said that it wasn't something they had not looked at.

Which makes me sad.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

But, then you'll still have to deal with the location AoE's from Earth Control, which by themselves are enough of a pain in the rear. Also, they are still pretty darn hard to even land a hit on with the proper IO slotting and FF+RockArmor. AND, when you do land a hit, Earths Embrace is an awesome heal that will also increase their HP and make them JUST that much harder to hit. Oh, AND they can DF you and waste your build up after your first attack, which makes their +defense values work very well against you since your +tohit is lacking lol, all while toggling back up Force Bubble just 10 seconds after it drops anyways, which is no big deal for them.

Basically, when played correctly, at least in zones, one of these sucka's is hell on wheels for most Stalkers, especially for any Stalker that isn't WP or EA, and trust me, there's still a ton of Regen's and Nin's out there even these days. Being able to EASILY drop most Stalkers out of stealth cap (even randomly) alone is worth it's weight in gold when fighting Stalkers. Force Bubble can actually be pretty hard to aviod if you're a Stalker and not on your toes all the time.

I was thinking of making a ice/ta how do u think that would do? I was thinking the -stealth would be nice from arctic air and I was thinking of slotting 2 hold procs in chilblain, I also heard a rumor the slows were getting fixed in i15.

Ice/TA would be OK, Earth/TA would be better.
