I don't know what to do about my SG..well the SG I'm in anyways...We've been around almost 5 years or so....but the last 3 have been like the hangers on hanging on. And sadly I see members on a lot but on alts in other groups..And when its time for sg time, they scatter and disappear, then log in an hour after we are done or the next day. Do I pack up ship and look for greener pastures? We've tried recruting a few times and get 2-3 'gung-ho' players, then they bail for WoW or some other reason.

Do you have to quit the SG? I mean, if you have alts, why not just play the alts and meet new people to team with? CoH isn't like WoW where an SG and SG's progression is important to experiencing high level content. CoH though is pretty much a casual game that encourages alt-ing and playing the game in short spurts. You could do what I did and just shop for newer people to add to your friends list and team with them regularly. The only thing I use the SG for is the base really, and that's just so I can teleport around the city faster.
No, I dont have to leave, and all my alts are there..It's just a huge base and it feels empty at times. And i feel certain emmbers are just using the base for ethe tp pads and storage while they build a bigger base with friends of thiers. A few members were doing that, using our base with restricted access, if any, to thiers. But, I digress. I just feel like..I dont know..I want to be part of a huge group is all, sometimes.

funny thing is i have alts in your sg. I went there because theres 4 to 5 actives in my original. I use my main base as storage and tps. I dont invite new people because they didnt do anything to build base and i felt i put in the 3 years to get base to where its at.
SO
1. i kept base but made it smaller to my characters basically it has everything but a meeting room,a raid teleporter, or anything that implies that it is more than just a sg of 5
2. I joined chat channels and work on sg prestige rent once a month
3 im a lot more happier with just 5 no drama no fighting and i tendto get along better with coallys
4 if i ever feel the need to be in a large sg i make an alt for it
really not that bad having your own base just customize it to your likes

Maybe I'm just feeling meh today..We had sg night the other night and 2-3 no shows who are die hards...maybe this week will change my attitude.

It is the summer too, which is generally a slow time for gaming. I imagine even the hardcore gamers want to go out once in awhile.
Well, this has been going on for quite sometime now, so I'm not letting the 'but its summertime' excuse come into play. I know the summer is a slow time for gaming also.
