AR/Pain advice?
I would say if you want to play a healer....PD is not the right set....go blue side and be an emp defender....that is about as close as you will get to being a "healer" in the city of universe.
PD is fine as a healer/buffer, although therm and empathy make better healers/buffers, pain will give you better personal attakcs.
However, don't go AR. Srsly. The animation time will not only get you killed, but will prevent you from healing/buffing others while it is animating.
I don't know....I have a level 43 AR/DV blaster and the animations seem fine.
now I have not played it with PD but I don't think it would be all that bad.
AR/Pain = redraw lulz. For extra oomph go Mace Mastery so you have a second weapon to draw.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."

My Rad/Pain Corr and my Merc/Pain keep teams alive just fine. I personally prefer Pain over Emp. Granted emps auras are decent but hardly perma w/o outside buffs. The right build can perm WoP and having a debuff in Pain helps if no debuffs are present on the team.
Not to enrage an Emp vs Pain war, but its a matter of taste. Some prefer emp some pain, long as they do their job I don't care which they are really.

I am not saying they can't keep teams healed....I have an elec/pd corruptor and a necro/PD MM and both do a great job of keeping teams alive.
I was just more commenting on that if you want to be a "healer" in CO* you are probably better of playing an EMP defender...as you going to be getting bigger "green" numbers from the EMP defender then the PD MM/Corruptor....simply because of the primary vs secondary part.
While I also think the other powers in PD make it a nicer set then EMP to some (me included) the OP was asking about being a healer not which set is better.

Indeed, consider though redside vs blueside, /Pain is the best "healer" mindset redside. Perhaps redside is where he prefers to play this concept.

AR/Pain: trying to make a healer with a few decent attacks (but the focus really is on the healer side.) I can figure out most of AR but Pain is very new to me.
First off what travel power would suit me best? Are there any Pool Powers that are important? I am assuming I will need Stamina, but do i need anything like Hasten (so far at lvl 4 my heals seem to come back pretty fast already.)
General advice for a AR/Pain would be greatly appreciated!
