Wishing you luck on keeping the Coyotes, Hericane. As a life-long, dyed-in-the-wool Penguins (and for that matter Pirates) fan, I know how nerve-wracking it can be waiting to see whether you're going to lose your team.

heh thanx gang. I'm hoping they get to stay, but won't be too surprised if they go. Arizona has always been a so-so place regarding supporting it's hockey teams. The Roadrunners got decent but not big support in the mid 90s, the Yotes have always been the 4th team of support here, even the Cardinals before Coach Wiz and crew turned them around were always still popular as an NFL team, and naturally the Suns and Dbacks have their core support of fans, for obvious reasons. We'll see how it goes.
If they get moved I might keep following them. Before the Jets moved here I liked the Kings, then the Blues. Latched onto the coyotes like I do most arizona teams here (still keeps an eye on ASU and UofA and at times the Phoenix Lifelock er... Mercury :P ) while still keepin an eye on the Rangers, then turned full attention to the Yotes after Gretzky retired.

Heh gratz on getting season tix, and thanx for the offer but like Pepsi I tend to dislike other teams in the same division, in a sports kinda way, no offense to the teams, especially if they're good, I just don't tend to like them unless there's past Phoenix history I like on them. Gonzo when he was with the Dodgers, Big Unit with SF, JR with the Sharks, etc.

We'll see what happens. All I know it's a never a dull moment here regarding sports. There's always something going on with one or more teams here. Suns are in a spot where we're all wonder what they're gonna do if they're trading anyone, etc. Dbacks are refinding themselves, sorta, and we're seeing the same kinda of implosions (bullpen) there. Cardinals are still making waves and the Boldin thing is floating around. The Mercury just pulled the Lifelock thing. ASU is still keeping in tune with its football/basketball.baseball teams, UofA is doing the same with its football and reviving its basketball. So there's still a lot to watch here, just will be shame to see one of teams from the 4 major sports leagues move away.

If anything I would say the Red Wings because Dr. Cox likes em :P

My only objection is that this is far from being the most important post of the month. But the title got my attention.

i'm guessing because you've been there 3 times. I live in the state so to me they're just one of the many sports teams to follow.

but regardless, i guess i'd be too pre occupied, hell last time i was there i ended up getting handcuffed to a photo journalism major's bed and she dipped out for class, i had to wait for her roomie to show up and let me out, but by that time i already missed the carpool back to minnesota so i had to take a grey hound bus.

ASU is crazy, but the good kind of crazy, perhaps once i graduate next spring i might have to move down that way.

from all the stories I've heard over the years from friends and all about ASU, that definitely sounds like something that'd happen there. Could happen at any college really, but for sure it's not beyond an ASU experience.

I wouldn't know personally tho. I'm not too social and tend to be introverted. Don't really have any of the usual party stories to tell. Most I've got related to that ASU wise is getting lost on the campus with two girls while doing some research for an AP Gov't back in high school. But yeah ASU's a pretty cool univ.

and back to sports... hmm hockey's over.... Basketball's over, baseball season in full bloom! and football isn't too far away.
