Hi everyone!

I haven't been on in a while, but I decided to come back and play my old FF/Sonic Defender, Crazed Leprechaun. I was wondering if someone could give me advice on builds and stuff

Thanks!

Repulsion Bomb's now good -- it does the same damage as Neutron Bomb, with low magnitude KB (i.e., knock down) and a chance to disorient minions. Bonus: it has no AoE cap, Castle knows about this, and he's been letting it slide for ages.

So ... take The Big Three + Repulsion Bomb, and the other powers to taste.

I'd also add on Maneuvers and Tactics to leadership (you'll softcap your teammates' def at a hair under 45, and it sucks to miss).

You'll probably want stamina unless you're a masochist.

Aaaaand ...

Lots of blasts.

Also, have a peek at Fulmens' guide.

And, for god's sake, don't take Aid Other. Once you have a heal, you're a healer, and if you aren't spamming that [censored] power, someone on your team will call you out, say you suck, and demand that the leader get a healer. [censored] that [censored].

Oh, and Fulmens will write you out of his will.

On the other hand, Aid Other can break a sleep, which Dispersion Bubble can't cover.

You're also in a better position than most to fire it off uninterrupted, since you have some Defence bonus.

And it leads to Aid Self, which works very well with Personal Force Field if you get into trouble.

I'd advise against taking Shout. Its long activation time means you could fire off another Shriek and Scream in that time, and once youve got a bit of recharge in them they pretty much form an attack chain on their own.

You get 18 powers by level 32. I'd take:

Personal Force Field
Deflection Shield
Insulation Shield
Dispersion Bubble

Shriek
Scream
Amplify
Howl
Sirens Song

Swift/Hurdle
Health
Stamina

Travel Precursor
Travel Power

Maneuvers

And then any three of the following to taste:

Aid Other+Aid Self
Assault
Tactics
Repulsion Bomb
Force Bolt
Grant Invisibility
Shockwave
Repulsion Field

I personally like the "I already did everything for you that I'm going to do" style of play. Once you've put the bubbles up, you can do whatever you want. Playing with tricorders? I guess, if you like that.

I mostly save "out of the will" for people who don't bubble the team, but if I get some backtalk that could get you out as well.

Oh, and here's that guide.

Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.

So you think you're a hero, huh.

Thank you very much, everyone!

For force-field, repulsion bomb is pretty nice now. And I do find some uses for detention field. I don't use detention often, but some particular contents may have a use of it. The major change for my force-field defender throughout the years is that I used IO bonus to cap my defense, and it is pretty amazing.
