Dead mobs...not dying?

You kill a mob (or several) and the mobs stand there still going through their animations even though they have been reduced to 0 health (empty health bar).

Found one post on this. Seems that this bug has been around for a while. Any word on this being taken care of? It's not game-breaking, but it does look pretty ridiculous.

This is on both hero and villain side.

[/ QUOTE ] This. It commonly occurs when you "1-shot" the foe before they are agroed.

It's no big deal to most people.

This is not a bug, its proof that you actually can kill (as apposed to arrest) and what you see are the ghostly remains of yer target, who, are unaware they died!

I have noticed this to but not on blue side it only happens to me on my stalkers when I AS someone

I started with issue 6 and don't recall seeing this till issue 10 or 11. It doesn't have much effect on my gameplay so my memory of when it started precisely is nil.

I only notice it when one shotting an enemy. Such as just killing low level thugs in Atlas Park. They'll die so fast the game doesn't make them realize they're dead, lol.

The "take care of" being a graphics glitch, as in not working as it is supposed to; but as I acknowledged in my OP, it's not game breaking...

Just curious if anything was going to be done about it. If not, I'll live.

Ever since enemy defeat animations were changed to ragdoll physics events, I believe. It could be that the clientside event is the only thing that interrupts the last emote the target was in and was just skipped thus the emote did not stop. Still a bug, though.

I defeated a couple of freakshow bosses in a AE map last night. Same thing happened. No health, but still standing there.

I was on Blue side.

I agree. Either that or a possible data loss issue? I'm guessing, so that may be way off target. I would think that data loss would affect the entire scene though, not just that one event.

The other funny sight is the standing mobs hanging limp after being killed - like the scarecrow in Wizard of Oz with the arms dangling lol. I think that particular occurance is just part of ragdoll physics though, whereas the dead mobs not knowing they are dead is another matter.

That being said, the ragdoll physics are great. One of the coolest additions to gaming ever IMO.

Oh yeah... I see this all the time. Especially in mayhem missions when I blow up things like cars. It's a rather silly bug, I have to say.
