What an Informative Scoop! Thank-You All, Great Read
Necross PM'd me asking about using Howling Twilight as a Regen debuff. It has a 500% Regen Debuff, so it's as strong as the other strong debuffs that I listed. But the debuff only lasts 30 seconds, while the power recharges in 180 seconds. Even with massive Global Recharge, it'll still only be on 30 seconds out of 45. So it's roughly on par with the Blaster version of Drain Psyche. It's certainly worth using. And it's auto-hit, which can be a big bonus against those AVs with Elude, Overload, or equivalent.
Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
I've moved on to Diablo 3, TopDoc-1304

Um. Go ahead and post the redirect link here. Unfortunately, due to the vagaries of UBB (THANKS UBB!), we can't really fix the link once the Scoop's been posted. It sort of sucks that way.
The copy editors get the links as late as they can before layout starts to work with the information, but we'd like to remind anyone who wants to have their events posted to PLEASE put it in the calendar as early as possible. We miss a lot of events because people don't list them in the calendar, and we're not on all the server forums to catch them that way.

Positron: I did sit down and several times went over the numbers on the published MA badges and lowered and lowered and lowered them until I thought we were at a level that was so low that everyone could get these through normal play and rather quickly too.
I admit, I was wrong.

No, you weren't wrong. As many people have pointed out, many, if not most, of the badges you're removing were earned by casual players, playing a handful of non-farm missions. Your decision is made on this, and I'm OK with that, but as others have said, please, Please, PLEASE don't take a reactionary stance on all future badges and "dumb them down" to the point of a player getting a badge if they click on a mission door.

We really didn't want the Mission Architect to be an environment that encourages farming for XP, Rewards or Badges, and we thought long and hard about the current Architect badge situation. Ultimately we'd like it to be a place where you go to play great player created content.
So, going forward-beginning with the Mission Architect badges-we've decided to move away from "count" badges that might encourage farming and/or aberrant game play. Instead, we'd like to encourage players to try all of our content by offering badges for completing 1 time accomplishments and achievements. What this means for the Mission Architect badges is that many of them are going to be removed in Issue 15. This is because they encouraged farming, because they encouraged aberrant behavior by doing one thing over and over again, they were unobtainable by a large portion of our players, or earning them was completely out of a player's hands and in the hands of other players.

I think this is fine. Just one small problem. I dont give a flying fig newton about badges some of the other players ive talked to share the sentiment. Badges are good if they lead to soemthing like an accolade.
I think the auto sidekick/ auto lackey has to go. Why? it encourages farming.
just walk in atlas city and listen to the broadcast:
Heres a sample:
"Lvl 1 forming lvl 54 ae farm send tell 35 and above"
" Farming lvl 54 AE mish any level toon"
the level 54 ae farms are getting out of hand.
i dont mind if its level 45-50 doing a lvl 54 arc but why in the world would you want a level 1 doing a lvl 54 arc?
it doesnt make sense
you talk about reward/risk ratio with farmers . i neither agree or disagree but i for one am tired of powerlevelers.
thank you for issue 15 and going rogue
im still a fan
