Custom Names / Info on Standard Critters?

I attempted to find a way to change either the names or the info on the critters in my Voyage Fantastic arc last night, to no avail.

The mobs are already in custom groups, which was what a kind player had proposed, but unless I make them all boss encounters I can't find any way to give them custom names / infos.

Is this something we can do as arc designers?

This will be an option in Issue 15 and I've already seen stuff get renamed on Live.


Virtue: The-Invictus (Blue)
The Emissary of Justice - Level 50 Fire/Fire Blaster
The Emissary of Justice. - Level 50 WP/Fire Tanker
Mesmerius - Level 50 Psi/Mental Blaster

I've seen Tyrant get renamed as "The Annoying AV"

Ah yes.

Well we can do that with bosses as they can be specifically placed anywhere in the mission and customized accordingly.

Unfortunately, not so with tun-of-the-mill critters.

But I'm really happy to see I15 is allowing us to do this.

I read about the ability to change standard contact's names and outfit colors in I15 but when I tried it on test, it didn't happen. Did I get this wrong?

Test is kinda... uh... well, let's just say there are a lot of problems with every published feature I've examined.


And for a while things were cold,
They were scared down in their holes
The forest that once was green
Was colored black by those killing machines

You could always change the contacts' names. It doesn't yet seem possible to recolor them, though. You'd probably have to add them to a custom group first, but there's no tab to access characters of Person rank.

It looks like there's also a new window where you can edit the contact's info and Ask About This Contact, but the option isn't available in the MA proper yet.
