Scrapper Ancillary Suggestion Thread

Scrappers are the only AT in the game with only 3 Ancillary picks to choose from. That always did seem strange to me when I hit proper level.

The Ancillaries are also the most diverse that I can think of (as in they follow no formula [hold, st range, armor, unique] etc..) Instead each set is completely different based on the concept of that ancillary.

That leaves a lot of options, I'm not going to start this off with my own suggestion, I just want to see what you guys have to offer.

Right now they have positive energy, negative energy, and weapons, so those are out.

I'd like to see more epic pools as a whole for everyone, not just my scrappers. And epics for the kheldians since half of the extra powers they have are still utter junk and will probably remain that way.

What if I just want more epics that fit my character theme? If I'm a fire/fire scrapper, I obviously want more fire themed powers. Should be a epic for each damage/power type for every one of the non "heroic" archetypes so we can keep our themes going.

Why make entirely new powers rather than fixing these supposed "utter junk" powers?

Not to piss on the devs because I really do like what they are doing for the game minus khelds, but they have kinda showed me what they want khelds to do and don't really care what we want them to do.

Khelds seemed pretty cool to me when I was new to the game and I loved my pb for the longest time until I started playing scrappers, defenders and eventually my banespider and nightwidow. Khelds just have too much wrong with them right now, and I think some epics may fix alot of the problems they have. This is my last ditch effort, hoping its something the developers can agree on, because they don't seem to agree with many of the other suggestions we've made in the past.

I could see some sorta pyre mastery making it in, I would be very interested in something making use of toxic damage also.

As far as khelds are concerned, oh wait they're not, please make a "Kheldian Power Suggestion Thread" if you want to argue for them.

The reason this is focused on scrappers is that there are 4 (or more) ancillaries for everyone but scrappers only have 3 (not including epics which each have many extra powers). That leads me to the belief that they might actually look at one of these one day and go "hum, yea, that's not a bad idea." and put it in because it (seems) like it's missing.

I can't actually see Kheldians HAVING Ancillary powers.

Why? Because they're already a combination of all ATs. They're equipped to fill in any role, albeit in a sub-par manner.

Adding epic power pools would just raise the question of why they aren't in the normal sets.

What Epics?

Well, Pyre/Fire/Flame/Whatever Mastery is more than obvious, given the somewhat recent addition of Fiery Melee/Aura.

Beyond that, I'd like to see more single-weapon based Mastery sets. That means Archery, Handguns and, yes, Assault Rifle. Not really sure what would be in those sets, but I do believe they fit the AT thematically.

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that this is Thread Necromancy, but I have been thinking about a Scrapper APP suggestion for a while and have finally decided to make it:

Gladiator Mastery
An ancillary power pool which provides a patchwork of five different powers typical of gladiatorial combat:

Slice - borrowed from the Broadsword power set. Not available to Broadsword primaries, which would instead get Crowd Control, borrowed from the Tanker War Mace power set.

Pendulum - borrowed from the Tanker Battle Axe power set.

Javelin (would require new animation and graphics) - a medium-ranged attack, hurls a javelin (lethal damage).

Invigoration - self-buff, +Regen, +To Hit, +Damage.

Phalanx Fighting - borrowed from the Shield Defence power set. Not available to Shield Defence secondaries, which would instead get Superior Conditioning, borrowed from the Stalker Body Mastery APP.

I realise that some of these powers are Tier 9s in their native power set, and I suspect that, were they to be borrowed to create this APP, there would doubtless be some nerfing. Nevertheless, I think something like this would be really nice for a scrapper (or perhaps a stalker) to have.

Weapon and Shield customisations would be necessary, so this APP should not be considered until APPs and PPPs get some customisation love

This whole APP set seems very off, it doesn't follow even the pattern of Patron Power Pools, much less Ancillary Power Pools. The usual pattern for these tends to be two controls, a ranged attack, an AoE ranged attack, and something unique.
Also, shield customizations for this set would not be needed because phalanx fighting is a passive.

Voltaic Mastery (I don't care if there's another Electrical APP with this name, the different APP set names for each AT always did seem weird to me)-

47) Static Discharge

Munitions Mastery-

41) Bean Bag
41) Burst
44) Glue Grenade (Similar to what SWAT Equalizers will use)
44) M30 Grenade
47) Heavy Burst

Pistoleer Mastery

41) Suppressive Fire
41) Crippling Shot: Minor Damage, Moderate Recharge, Single Target Immobilize
44) Pistols (Alt: Swap Ammo)
44) Dual Wield
47) Empty Clips

Archery Mastery (admittedly making the second least sense given Scrappers don't have a pistol or archery related set...)

41) Entangling Arrow
41) Flash Arrow
44) Aimed Shot
44) Rapid Fire: +Recharge Speed (50%, Archery Mastery only), Special (Quickens animation time on Archery Mastery Powers*)
47) Fistful of Arrows
