What is your favorite SOLOING blaster and why???
Ice/Ice. Nothing comes close to how absurdly well it solos.
I'm only ladylike when compared to my sister.
I'll put in a vote for either of my Fire/Fire's builds. It's the most fun I've ever had playing the game without question.
You can give me numbers that say otherwise, you can tell me about all the cool things you've done with your Ice/Ice, NRG/NRG, AR/NRG, Arch/MM, Fire/MM, but I will always say that Fire/Fire is the best soloing Blaster ever. And I won't apologize for saying it : )
Energy / Energy is good... the knockback helps keep you alive and the melee stuns are great when things get close.
I also really like Archery / Mental. Fast animations, good AoEs, and decent utility make it a nice set for a pure ranged build.

Elec/Elec for me... it was my first Blaster, and still no Blaster I've played to date solos as easily. Its not fast, but between the holds and the End Drains, its mighty safe to solo with whether against bosses or large spawns of minions with lieuts.
With Elec Mastery's additional ranged hold and cone attack, you actually get decent AoE and even more control... it makes soloing bosses pretty much a no brainer, and if you get the jump on an EB you won't even have to use insps.... and no, my E3 Blaster is not soft-capped... not even close. His IO sets are for Acc and Recharge... good times.
Fire/Ice/Fire(Epic).. crazy damage and nice tools to keep the mobs in packs for BOOM also its fun being a quasi-controller with all the ice goodies
Not a huge amount of blaster experience, but the first blaster I managed to ever get past lv 24, after 5 or 6 attempts, and still great fun to play, Fire/fire/fire. Solo'd her most of the way to 50 accompanied by the smell of singed and smoking villains. 
And why? hmmm, she just seemed to kill everything that got in her way, very rarely encountered anything that even made me pause.
my fav for pve that is , is my first ever blaster a ice/ice/cold blaster very fun with chilling embrace and shiver .

And then explosive arrow is at level 12 as well. Which is a pretty standard taoe attack compared to most all. Fistful also recharges in 8 seconds, compared to others with 12 and 16second recharges.
