Whats funny is that isn't even a personal message. That's the message they send out to everyone who replied to being banned from MA exploits. I got the exact same message. Just goes to show how lazy they are in dealing with this situation. I'm guessing people who lvl pacted got the same message as well. Thanks for the kick in the [censored] nc support.
Let's be honest you guys did abuse MA...i don't think that perma bann is the right way to punish ppl for abusing exploits however getting a toon from 1 to 50 in 1 hour is just wrong. I wouldn't be surprise they would delete toons that were PLed this way.

But i agree i see pretty much successfull lv'ing up in AE missions and i wonder how CS decides what is abuse or not...:/

They shouldn't need to be sold. Were characters deleted that were leveled with the portal exploit, or any of the other exploits/bugs that were used before they were patched? They shouldn't touch created characters. Bad customer service.
If you don't see a problem with it, then I suggest everyone gets their toons back and they just delete all of yours. Then everyone's happy.

I never leveled to 50 in an hour. My toon that got deleted was done so after the patch and took me two weeks to get to 50.
They should have fixed positron's FAQ

Frost Elf -I disagree. They are accusing us of this.

I know for a fact none of my friends did any of that. Also the section 18 they quote says nothing about deleting characters. No where in the EULA does it say 'we reserve the right to delete your characters....'
During free activation weekend, you could get on any one of hundreds of ae missions if you waited two seconds and I would point out again, positron himself said they knew this was going on and they knew it would go on when they released AE. That really negates the definition of exploit. The only reason they took action was the complaints about the constant spamming of "LF AE FARM" in broadcast after he interacted with live players for the anniversary event. So obviously by their own admission they didn't care until the carebears cried. This harsh punishment is to appease those people.
What about toons PL'd outside of MA?
What about setting an MA mish for 8 and running solo for s___s and grins?
Is it the PL'd or the PL'r or both that get smacked?
Without defining how fast is too fast, the devs leave themselves open to additional criticism. Then again this is martial lolz, thou shalt play the one true way, who cares if we're sick to death of the old content and MA is a colossal cluster fart with the most fun mishes being the farms.

The whole problem is that devs/CS simply take their freedom to bann whoever they want how they want w/o defining what is abuse or not or even warning really about what is exploit or not. Right now i am really not sure if i can get banned or not for running AE mish because everything could be an exploit... WTH????
edit: oh this is sweet i posted thread on player questions about what is AE exploit and what not..and posted 1 example and asked if it was abuse or not...thread got deleted w/o any warning..awesome..

On serious note i am scared to run AE missions except the dev choice ones...just because devs refuse to define exploit/abuse and actually allow broken code on live...
Will my toons be deleted too just because i was sitting for 2 hours in illusion farm and got me illusionist badge in 2 hours instead of 3 years?

My favorite part was they told us that farming in AE was gonna result in bans/deletions etc AFTER we had already done it. That's like me throwing a ball across the street then a week later a cop comes to my door and says we just made that illegal today. You are going to jail.

I read that a lot of them are poorly written drivel. And that most are from the suck ups that any one that makes it to closed betas know who they are.

As stated previously, this action was taken because we were able to identify activity on your account - specifically, grossly excessive XP gain through our Mission Architect System. It is our opinion that there is no way that you could have gained this amount of XP without exploiting the game.
When Mission Architect released, we stated publicly in patch notes the following:
NCsoft reserves the right to ban any missions that contain any exploits that provide unintended statistical advantages. Players and/or "authors" that advertise exploitable missions through our forums, in-game chat system or through the Mission Architect system may be banned from the Mission Architect System or may have their game account closed.
It has been determined that your actions violated section 18 of our rules of Rules of Conduct which states the following:
You will not exploit any bug in City of Heroes and you will not communicate the existence of any such exploitable bug (bugs that grant the user unnatural or unintended benefits) either directly or through public posting, to any other user of City of Heroes.
With regard to your account, it will be available tomorrow (Saturday, 5/23) once the 72 hour time period has passed.
This incident is being closed at this time.
