Soulbound Allegiance is not helping your Imps. There was a post recently where the devs specifically say that it does not work on Imps (I think it says any pet that does not summon as level 50 it does not work on).

SBA proc is not working on anything below 50 atm, including imps. Apparently this is fixed on test (i15), but afaik it was only tested on imps at 50. Exemp and MM pets below 50 I'm not sure if it is 'fixed' or 'working as intended'.
Set bonuses should be fine.
There is an easier way if your farmnig a team of 6-8 sitters - take vengence and recall friends - bring a tray full of purples - 3 purples at a time - then when you run out recall friend a teamate into a mob as veng bait. that should give you about 20 mins of high def LOL...

Well it does seem that they just fixed the Soulbound Allegiance (I think it is only on test as I didn't read enough to see where the patch notes are from ).
Invention System
The Soulbound Allegiance very rare IO set will now correctly enhance summoned pets that are summoned at a level less than 50. This affects pets such as Fire Imps, Mastermind Minion henchmen and Mastermind Lieutenant henchmen. Removed the note on these enhancements stating that these enhancements wouldnt improve these types of powers.
