I've become one with the Cake!
Fill a bucket with warm water, then put your cat in the bucket up to his neck and hold him there.
Soon enough all the fleas flee to the cats head. Then pick off the fleas one by one and rub each one in between your thumb and forefinger until you hear a tiny scream.
That's the best way I know how to find fleas.
Second best way is to spread flea powder all over your living room save for one human sized area. Strip naked and sit in said area and watch how fast you get moving freckles.
