steam punk character
here is Dr. Clockwork, I have 2 versions in mind for him, a assault rife blaster with devices, or a robotic mm. the assualt rife will be powered by steam, with all the bells and whistles . the robotic mm, just fits
here is his look http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...rClockwork.jpg
I lik ethe way the cybord shoulders fit over the cape

Thunder is good, thunder is impressive, but lightning does the work.
I wanted it to look somewhat like pipes or tubes or something like that. I cant wait for Going rogue, I want to make a "good" steampunk MM wiht robots
Oh, that's good!
Yeah, a steampunk character can be a bit of a challenge. I've been wanting to make one myself, but haven't come up with anything just yet.

Bravo! I like that one <^_^>
I'm finding Steampunk to be kind of a challenge here <;_;> But I think my biggest reason for that is that I can't add big pipes and the like (as I tend to want to play a clockwork robot of some kind).
I did make a steampunk gnome version of Nemesis; but I'm not really happy with his design yet so I won't post pics.
Lord Gnomesis will not allow himself to be seen until all can gaze upon is true magnificence!

For sets, I'd suggest 'low-tech' stuff that could conceivably have come from early on in the Industrial Revolution if conditions had been right. I mean stuff like AR (Nemesis rifle, of course), electricity, fire, ice, radiation...a lot of stuff, really. Probably not dark or psi though. Well okay, I could see a steam-powered telekinetic amplifuer...
Really, in this game the steampunk genre is just 'technology origin, Victorian style', which gives you a ton of options. A pal of mine, for instance, has Steampunk Charlie, an elec/elec blaster (I think...been a while ) who uses gauntlets and armor with high-end capacitors in them, charged by micro-steam-generators.
So yeah, it's whatever you want. Play what you think will be the most fun. Just don't forget to don the proper fahsion: earth tones, overcoats, maybe some copper machinery, etc.

Characters
Steampunkish characters don't always need to have a billion pipes and gears (though, would be sweet to have those in CoH ).
Without further ado, I present you The Golden Gentleman.
Violence has its own economy. Therefore, be thoughtful and precise in your investment.
Every now and then I try to make a steampunk elec/fire blaster, though not with much success on the name or costume fronts. My reasoning is that the character generates electricity from miniature steam turbines as the primary form of offense and then uses the excess heat from the generators as backup.
When going rogue goes live, I may try an elec/fire (using excess heat as a shield) or fire/elec (using the electricity to create an ablative armor of sorts and dumping the excess heat into attacks) brute.
Goodbye, I guess.

very nice
I think a macer with a wrench might do fine as steampunk
very true my mm is a robot/devices
, but then again, you can get steampunk into anything if you look hard enough, and are creative enough to see it
a wrench would make an awesome weapon
I'm unsure as to whether Steam Shinobi counts, but I consider her a Steampunk Samurai.
She's my new Virtue character.
wow that's really neat

somone on the comic forums is asking around about peoples opinion on steam punk and I got to thinking. it would be really fun to play a steam punk character.
but than I run into my usual problem. my current lack of creativity,
so in your opinion what would make a cool set for a steam punk character and how would you dress them.
