A plea for easier Salvage storage system

Heck, if you've ever worked in an office where the basis of business was filing (title co., courthouses, etc.), even though most stuff is computerized, the actual files still have to go somewhere.... and it's a PITA to try and get everyone in said office to keep the friggin files straight. Even your basic Purchase Order type office systems are a PITA for everyone to keep straight.

Don't be too hard on the OP for that. In a multi-player SG it's hard to force people to be that considerate. If the SG is large enough, sorting can be a full time job.

8-)

No worries but thanx for the words ... I've been around long enough not to insulted or even bothered by people that jump down others throats for daring to suggest something other than that clamored for by the "forum majority"

I was thinking about your idea of linking worktables to salvage bins and I had an idea that may allow the auxillary device to work the way you want and not mess with the current way bins are set up.

Lets say the device can only draw salvage from bins in the same room as it is in. Or it can have (say 4) bins attached to it that it can draw from.

This would let people use the worktable without sorting thru the attached bins, and other bins could still be used for personal storage in other locations.

Hmm bad choice of word then. By 'footprint' I ment the phicical size of the artwork that holds the salvage. Like how the supercomputer is 'bigger' than the mainframe.

As far as taking up all your 18 storage slots, that was the whole point. its an option for people who want to consolidate salvage racks only. I personally have 9 storage racks in 1 room. I went through alot of trouble to make then 'look' different so it didn't look like the same artwork repeted 9 times. This option would enable me to replace all 9 of them with 1 artwork item. Don;t want 9? Use the 6 same goes for 3 or still use all the single ones if you want. The choice is yours.

That's a great idea IMHO. An aux device to attach to an invention table that draws from "local" aka racks in the same workroom would be a nice QoL feature IMO

Sorry bout that. I misunderstood, When I said that to Blackstrike I assumed you were giving an example of how it could minimize the number of bins players would have to buy when I said that.

Yes but he's not suggesting that we use all of them at the same time. Let's say an SG wants to use the one that holds the most items for genearl SG salvage storage, that leaves them with 9 remaining choices for storage bins.
