Not I.
Controller, blaster, scrapper here. I think it may be possible to make a rad/ice or dark/ice defender but tanks just aren't my way. I know some people like them but they always seem way to slow.

Still do. The worry of getting locked out because of it, not so much the reward nerf takes away the fun. If you have a fully purpled out farmer the nerf isn't so painful. To the people trying to scrape what they need together to get one going its very painful indeed.
a) I have a lvl 50 MM that I use to get stuff for my other toons, I just haven't utilized her in the MA
and once my Brute hit 50 and got most of her shinies (most of which was prior to MA), there was no real reason for me to make it a habit for her.
b) I still have fun with an arc that I tailored for my brute (custom MMs, Empaths, Kins all Lts and Bosses, ambushes) and am trying to tailor corresponding challenges for my more squishy toons.

I had pretty much shelved all of my blueside toons (just couldn't get into the maps and travel there); didn't even consider running them through the MAet grinder... will definitely have to give that a go.

Well thank you so far JKwervo and Another_Fan, I didnt know exactly how people were doing this. And man I'm so glad to see people still enjoy this game after the big mess.

Hes an almost. Random knockback from your aoes would make it painful.
a) Toons I farm with are arc/mm blaster and fire/kin troller. Fire/kin troller is the better of the two, but with AE, you can sorta make anything a farm toon with the right power choices.
b) They only lowered rewards for custom groups I think. If you use a premade group, the rewards remain the same. And yes, swarms of guys is the only way I farm. I usually go in with an 8 man team, and finish with a 3 man team because everyone quits cause it's to hard. I spawn the entire map before I start because of this. I have an Ice/SS tank that isn't real good on the AoE attacks, but he can solo 8 groups of winter horde at the same time, and it's alot of fun.

Now see? THIS is why I have "hero envy" NOW. The tanks that can take on 8 groups of ANYTHING and live to talk about it. LMAO
And Another_Fan I do agree my aoe's get kinda nasty, especially when teamin, as a long-time player I know how to use my "soft control powers" properly. but dam man, sometimes ya just wanna blow [censored] up and in every direction ya feel what I'm sayin?! lol
Naw but seriously, maybe he needs purples to kill quicker? But then if I aggro more than 5 guys its a wrap for me, they kill quicker than I can. Maybe its just not meant to be on a eng/eng blaster? Again, not for farming purposes but I'd like to at least feel super for once in his career, ya know?

Well, you could make a tank, and when going rogue comes out, you can make him a villian.
As for your eng/eng blaster, take the fighting pool to make him less squishy, take ice epic for heals, hibernate, sleep, and ice armor. Take the fighting power set, and get your ice/smashing/lethal defense and smashing/lethal resist high. Should be able to pick up some cheap IO sets that give +hp. Then try making a map with Winter Horde or Council with AE with lots of defendable objects, and see how he does. Just make sure you uncheck the defendable objects as required to complete the mission.
If you can get complete stealth and hover, that will help alot to. It gives you positioning without having to worry about agro before you attack. Super speed and a stealth IO in sprint should work fine.
1) I use a Spine/Fire Scrapper, pretty fully purpled out, with about 25% melee and fire defense from sets and capped fire resistance.
I farm a Fire melee/Fire melee swarm map and can take on full 8 man spawns from 9 defendable object ambushes solo. Not to brag, but he kicks much [censored] and is the toon I play most. (BU+FE+Energy Torrent+Throw Spines+Spineburst+Throw Spines == giggles)
Whenever I bring others onto that farm they usualy give up around the 3rd team wipe, I've got the map to auto SK the lowbies to 46 and I can get a lvl 1 toon to 32 in a single run (mapped to 8/ 3 on team).
2) As for rewards, I get about 16 Mil out of a run, + what ever the recipe rolls give me... before the nerf I could pull 18-20K tickets from a run if I sold all my tickets before completing the mish, now it's, well, lower, but still good. I mostly do it for the fun of doing it... I like seeing a flood of enemies flow over the wall like an army ant invasion only to meet their spiney death.
Well I'm not really a tanker type of guy I tried it once or twice and wasnt feelin it. I like to dish out damage, as much damage as possible.
Now, I know my flaws in being a blaster and all that but I'm dead set on redoing my eng/eng build so that he survives much longer. This is the first time I've actually really cared about number crunchin and all that to be honest, so I'm gonna take some advice yall have given me, and we'll see how it goes.
P.S. Rebuilt him on "build 2" last night but didnt read your post til this morning and DAMMIT Folonius why didnt I take the fighting pool instead of combat jumping and hover?! LOL I'm an idiot.

Can you have combat jumping and hover on at the same time? I usually take combat jumping somewhere along the way to complement weave.
Yes Folonius I tried it last night with the same question in mind as I'm choosing CJ like "man I hope this works" lol. But yes you can use hover and CJ at the same time. I like to fly tho, sooooo maybe flight pool and fighting pool?

I know I know, we've been over this but I havent really gotten a straight answer about either of these, it keeps coming up wherever I turn in the forums about AE, and was just curious to see what you guys think.
Note:I am not for or against anything as far as this is concerned I could care less what happens in the end. Been here since CoH beta. I love this game regardless. I'm playin a superhero, thats good enough for me!
