Supergroup Scenery!
Similar things have been suggested, but I don't think I've seen this sort of mechanic in the idea.
Ideally, the "map" would be bigger than any base *anyway* (and somewhat logical - either that, or "monitors" with camera points for underground type bases) so you're not looking out of windows where there's actually, say, a big empty park on the map itself.
I don't know what it'd be like lagwise, either. I *suspect,* though, that if they ever did anything like this, we'd just get pre-rendered "points" we're looking at, instead of a map overlay.
Interesting way of trying to lay it out though.
Camera points wouldnt make sense tho for the reason of where your windows are placed
if i placed a window and had a camera point looking at capitol building in one window. i could have a camera point looking at a building 2000 feet away from the capitol building in the window right next to it. wich would be more like security cameras on a t.v. then looking out a window

Thinking more of "underground" bases and a security system in that case, so that's quite apt Since not all bases would be in a building above ground.
then yes that would also be good to add. didnt consider the sewer bases. there would need to be t.vs then windows to make more sence. thanks memphis for the extension of the idea
I wouldn't mind just having a 'window' prop with different scenes on it.

I've wanted this also. I suggested awhile back a window with moon, underwater, jungle, or city view scenery. Would really enhance the look of a base. Even if it was just basically a big wallhanging with the appearance it was a window would do for me.

well its good, more people want something hopefully the devs will look into it more. i've had alot of my ideas just die because no one posted on them...
Oh, wait, just to get this out of the way:
NO! Wouldn't work, can't happen, dev time, money, who cares about Champs, power customization, and RP!
... there. Contractural argument against covered. (What, you think Forum Cartel-ing is easy?)
Now with that done - hmm, water, jungle... Now I want a full glass wall. And stuff animated outside of it. We know they have sharks...
lets not get off topic. lets just start with the idea of city scenery and space

Off topic? The topic is "Supergroup Scenery".
As for the suggestion, I would like this just if it were a wall hung detail with a looping display/animation of something going on outside of the base. I wouldn't care if it happened by camera or by looking like actual views.
I would imagine sets from each zone awarded for getting all exploration badges in the zone. Then extra jungle, underwater, space, north/south pole, sets which could be added in later.

Hey guys, Relicator here with an idea, and more to come.
This one is Supergroup Scenery.
i was recently in the Studio B in Architect Entertainment and i looked out the windows there. and i thought "hey thats a nice view" wich led me to this. Windows in SG base??
The Plan!
Alright so, what if we could purchase a place to put our sg base? when in our sg base insert a "scenery button" what this will do is make a map outside your base. then you can move your base map (the area in wich you can add rooms) around on the scenery map and place it where you like. Then when you add windows you will be looking at the scenery you picked and you will look at depending on where you placed your base.
Example
If i placed my sg base 200 feet infront of the capitol building in atlas park. I could add a window in wichever room facing the capitol building and be able to look out my sg base at the capitol building 200 feet away.
Problems
with this idea you would need to be able to pick how high your sg base is to add multple views. if you would want to look off into the street, or down at the city. also you would need to make sure your base isnt bigger then the scenery map. so the scenery maps would have to be big, and may cause lag.
