... Pinnacle? the word means "a lofty point" or "a jutting edge" or "a culminating point" ... There may have been some ancient dude with a similar sounding name, which may share a root?

If you google "Pinnacle greek roman" or something similar, you might find something? *just did that* I didn't find anything obvious, I think it's largely just a word, and not a name.

im pretty sure i remember hearing about one named pinnaclese
it may not even be greek, that was just the first thing i thought of cause there are so many different important/popular people from that mythology

Where is this reference coming from? Did you see it in game somewhere? Was it a name discussed by a contact? If so, which contact told you this name? Was it just something a player was saying? Could it possibly be referring to the Pinnacle server and spelled by a drunk person? Pinnacle is the "drunk" server after all.
We need more information to research properly.

i didnt see or hear it in game anywhere it was just something that came to mind and i didnt know if i made it up or not. i actually was trying to find out about it because i wanted to make another toon on pinnacle and name it 'Pinnaclés' but i wanted to know some things about the name. since i was pretty positive it was someones name then im sure there was something they where remembered for.

I did find an article on the web that mentions a Greek God named Pinnacles, however that article also mentioned gods named Popsicles, Posttoasties, and Chefboyardees so I'm starting to wonder if it might not be a serious article.
