Okay, that is a reasonable criticism. So what is the threshold for variance? 0, 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10? Ten seems way too much. I personally would prefer as close to zero fluctuation, as shown above.

My preferred numbers for costume:
Costume collection during Halloween - 10 - 20 - 40 OR 15 - 30 - 60

I would like to point out that even with a 2,000 craft "head start", that the claim of 2-3 weeks is wrong. If you meant 21 days, then I still say you are wrong.

2,000 crafts at the beginning of Issue 14, ended about a week and a half ago.

If I only crafted & sold (Ok, I made around 300-400 million inf overall) or gave away (did a fair share of this) enhancements, I'd be less than half way at this point.

I destroyed about 5,000 bits of salvage creating and deleting empowerment buffs. I don't really feel good about that.

My friends watched what I did and swore off the badge as "too much work".

Bottom line: The badge requirements are broken.

I offered to demonstrate and was refused.

I stand by my estimate that it is possible, mainly through crafting and deleting level 10s, but empowerment buffs would work as well.

I think you just are not making inf fast enough to cover the costs. In fact in the current market I'm not touching commons unless they make me over 200 000 inf per transaction. (blueside I'm talking about)

I can sell out a character at that profit point in under a day.

I'm not denying I made a (substantial) profit. The speed was abysmal though.

What was stopping you from spending more influence to get the badge faster then ?

Demand (not enough), supply (lack of components to craft).

Edit: On the plus side I got a couple of Purple recipes and some sets made, but I used the AE to get the salvage.
