MA Arc won't run now.

Not sure if others are getting this problem too but...

My MA arc will no longer run. I had it published and it was played and rated 30 times.

A friend of mine told me this morning that she couldn't get it to start and I tried it myself and it was true.

When I edited it, it says that the story was too large(it wasn't before), so I edited down some text and got it under 100% again.

Then when I tried to republish, it says: 'Unable to publish Arc: A mission has too many ambush, boss, patrol or destroy details.'

But it doesn't specifiy the mission and that error didn't show up when I was editing. Now I'm thinking I may have to lose my ratings by unpublishing and redoing it....but I still don't know where the error is...because no errors show up when I'm editing.

What do I do from here? I put a lot of work into that arc...so I really don't want to have to trash it and remake it.

The Arc number is 120531

One trick to try is change your map, then change it back. For some reason, this then brings up the orange error in the upper righthand corner, which you can then click to be taken straight to the relevant mission.

Otherwise, click on the first 'page' of each of your missions and it will tell you the details of the map (how many of whatever you're allowed) - then click the second 'page' of each mission to see if you have too many.

DON'T unpublish! Anything you can change on an unpublished arc you can change on a published one. If you want to mess around with the actual file, you can start to edit the published arc and pick the 'save' option that saves it back to your own hard drive.

Well I found out what the problem is.

They completely removed the map I was using from the MA.

And I have to say...I'm totally pissed!

That was the ONLY tech lab map that matched the gist of my story arc...because it had the Clone room on the last floor.

It seems the Crey Paragon Clone Lab...or whatever its name was...is now unavailable.

No idea if this is a bug or if they just went ahead and removed it from the MA for some reason.

I'll just have to pick a standard tech map to use...but this totally ticks me off.

First, I fully acknoledge that your arc may well not have any of the issues that I am about to describe. That said, according to threads in the Training Room that particular map has problems with geometry that can cause collectable objects to spawn outside of the map. This has lead to certain arcs being uncompletable. It is likely that steps are being taken to correct these issues to make this map, which is one of several that have had similar issues, and make the map available again.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.

Is that the same deal with the burning forest map? Perfect for my arc...

I haven't heard anything to explain that one.

In the gazillion times I ran my arc for testing...plus the people that have run it, no one has ever stated that they could not complete that mission(the final on in my arc) due to no not being able to click on an objective.

In any case I used a substitute map...but it kinda takes away from the feel of the last mission. In any case its playable til they fix or don't fix this issue. And I still think they arcs containing that map, and others with issues, should have gotten some kind of flag. I have no idea now how many people would have tried playing my arc with no explanation as to why it just would never start.

It had little enough playthroughs as is...

I've had numerous instances of chained bosses not spawning on several different maps. Maybe this is a separate issue than the collectible items but I think the problem might not be with just one map.

I'm in the same boat on my first arc...

Abrahms, can you give us the reference to the training room thread where this was discussed? I've been trying to find this info all week.

Thanks.

Sadly no. I think it might have been one of the recent test patch notes thread, but not 100% on that. Also, remember this was a player's guess. It just happened to be the one that made the most sense.
