About CoH's PhysX Implementation
This is correct. CoH uses an old version of the physics engine. CoH does not recognize GPU (video card) physics capabilities. It only recognizes the Aegia PhysX card.

Thank you. Any more peoples able to confirm that as well?
To clarify: I am not disputing that software rendering for PhysX works, no doubt about that, there just is no hardware acceleration from a GeForce 8 or higher.
I can confirm this, it runs on original hardware only.
I think it adds a fair bit of stuff flying around over the software version, but there is no question that there are other games with much much more complex physics modelled, the UT3 Tornado map has flapping cloth and bendable metal amongst other things, I think I read that Mirrors Edge has a good implementation of Physx as well.
I pulled my Ageia card when i went triple SLI.....so I can say CoH no longer ues it...not even the GPU based version....but Farcry 2 looks amazing
Sure if you pull your card the game can't use it :P

Greetings earthlings,
I just had a very heated debate with something about the PhysX implementation used in CoH. The argument was that CoH uses it's own "hacked" and old implementation (and hence NOT supporting GeForce PhysX) versus it using the PhysX System software and having GeForce PhysX acceleration on an 8 series or higher. So for the gurus and experts: which one is true? Please no "I saw more flying stuff when I did...", just hard facts please
Thanks in advance,
GV
