to Kentucky! Fooled ya! muhahahaha!

So Imeco and I will be going to Kentucky for a week in June. While we are up there, we are gonna be going to Kings Island in Ohio and meeting up with a few friends from here. Dark Karma, her hubby The Puppy Apocalypse and their son will be coming along for a day of fun. Karma and I were talking about how cool it would be to see if anyone else wanted to come along from here and just hang out and ride the rides! (no, the rides do not involve my tractor!) So.....

Anyone near/can be near there and want to hang out with a bunch of crazy fun people who are gonna eat lots of pizza, ride tons of rides and live to tell about it?

Kings Island... Bah Cedar Point which is considered one of the best amusement parks in the world! It is more north off of Lake Erie look it up.

We are in a state of flux right now because of the move, we could be flying into Cleveland the last week of June if things do not go well.

It's true.

Where are you gonna be in Kentucky? (I'm guessing Northern half?) It might not be too far of a drive from Nashville...

I moved within 90 minutes of Cedar Point last year and feel shame for not making it up there at least once during the summer. Must correct that this year.

Still, that's not as sad as the people I work with that grew up here in OH and haven't ever been to Cedar Point.

At least I hit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame my first weekend in town.

Have you been to Canton for the NFL Hall of Fame? Eaten at a White Castle yet?

If not! Shame on you!

damn you Heather for not letting me ride your tractor! But still unfortunately I will be heading to Boston for a couple days in August. And that is long enough trip for me to waste money on.

I actually live in Lexington...I'll pass along my phone number in case you want to get together

You know, I'm not really that big a football fan, so I figured I'll save that for when my dad comes to visit. It's probably about 15 minutes down 77 from here, so that'll be a nice, short drive.

From what I recall, having not hit a White Castle since returning to this side of the Mason-Dixon, I'm not missing that much. I sure am glad to be back in Dunkin' Donuts territory, though. (Now if Discount Tire and Meijer would just spread out this way, I'd feel just like I was back home again.)

<3 Meijer...were else could you buy Tires, Children's Toys, and Liquor all at the same place!

We actually got one of those from a Meijer when I was younger...thing was fun until it jumped down a heating vent and died. Much less fun then.

Yes it did...that part of the vent was inaccessible! And it was the middle of winter.

That works in a lot of places. Here in Jersey I know people who never been to Six Flags: Great Adventure.

Kinda like the people that live in Arizona and never get around to looking at the Grand Canyon.

If I wasn't going to be deployed over the summer, I would take that time and visit and bring the wife and kids home (Ashland,Ky) to see the grand parents and we could come up to King's Island. Love the Vortex,Son-of-Beast and of course the Beast Coasters.
But HAVE FUN. HH.

I would go if it were cedar point, but then again I'm going in like 15 days. Actually I might hold that off.

Anyways, southeast michigan means ~2 hours to cedar point.
