Stop Nerfing PvP

Except perhaps the frustration of just continually dying without having a chance? That, I know from personal experience time and time again. Sorry, but I think that the changes have leveled the playing field, and I have enjoyed the trips I've made with the rest of the "part-time pvp'ers" far more than any gankfests that I experienced before now.

Perhaps you did have a chance. If I can take a non-PvP built Ice/Dev into SC against 6-7 villains and get kills, then a pair working together in BB (where insps are readily available) can get kills.

What I would like to know is, how did it level the playing field? There are still FotM's, bad builds, etc. While fights can (but not always) last longer, often the chance one had at victory was considerably smaller. Before, one could do well with even a "bad" build in an environment of good builds, provided they knew how to play it. Now, a bad build is only mediocre against bad players and useless against anyone halfway decent or better.

"the reason there are so many sarcastic pvpers is we already had a better version of pvp taken away from us to appease bad players. Back then we chuckled at how bad players came here and whined. If we knew that was the actual voice devs would listen to instead of informed, educated players we probably would have been bigger dicks back then." -ConFlict

Because with a little time, I can actually FORMULATE tactics, by watching. Without that time, it's just gank after gank.

.... formulite. lol.

Think about how you were killed. Then return and work with what you learned. Getting damaged badly? Purples, Oranges and Greens. Losing a war of attrition with an elusive opponent? Yellows and Reds. Getting TP'd to hell and back? Pop an orange. Enemies awaiting for your return from the same direction? Take an alternate route and ambush them.

In a zone, after every kill, you have the time you need to reflect on what you have done and what has happened to you. And in those defeats are the lessons to gain victory. This is true for every PvP'er that has played in the game. We were all noobs once, and we all have been rolled.

There is nothing in the last two patches that has anything to do with PVP at all.

"Well, start nerfing PVP again, and then stop it! Good day to you, sir!"

Very well put.

My first statement was a bit too powerful. What I really mean is when we are met with a nerf this AT type attitude, sometimes it is probably better just to buff some others. Then again, maybe i'm just pissed that [censored] can hit through my IH like nothing now and my regen only really matters when i'm high-tailing it >.< Also, do rad debuffs even work anymore? meaning the -to-hit, also storm -to hit

Yeah, debuffs are good now. They took defense's place when elusivity was nerfed.

Buffs are still junk though.

You're right. I made an unjust assumption. I apologize.

But wouldn't more players in the zone, jerks or not, given you more opportunities to get your kills? Again, there were plenty of ways to deal with unseemly types that didn't involve killing the game for a lot of people who enjoyed PvP as it was that weren't out just to ruin someone's day.

Looking at it from a numbers point of view, you are correct. More players = more opportunities to earn the badge in question.

But for me having fun is more important. I never worried about slotting or PvP builds. As a result I die far more frequently than dedicated PvPers. It doesn't bother me tho if I'm having fun.

Was it nice finally getting the badge? Yes, but my SG lived without that powersource for two years. We never had a lot of PvP members and they left a while back. I earned the entire SG badge myself, by that I mean I was the only person in my SG that ever worked on it.

My friend was the one that talked me into working on the badge after he found out I was given the Base Architect permissions in my SG this past January. He appealed to my desire to have a chance to get one of the coolest (IMO) looking base items. (The Dimensional Vortex)

All that being said the only thing I feel is worse then the guys that acted like jerks in PvP, were the people that would go into PvP zones and then have the gall to complain about getting killed by bullies when they were only trying to work on a badge. Those knuckle dragging inbreds off the booger farms of the bayou needed to be introduced to the business end of a listen stick.
