Seriously though, I apologize for any hard feelings. I got tired of all that and moved my PvP blaster and vills to Virtue. Funny thing was...as small as the play is there, 2 guys asked me how Ronnin was doing with the 4 accounts stacked veng tactics, saying that they relocated b/c of his Blaster or Fort (and also b/c of the general OP trash talk all day with the "<---lol <insert name here>" macros when someone gets a kill). Even in the land of RP PvP with "catgirls" and "soldiers" running around Virtue, I couldnt get away from him lol.
I learned my lesson man, even tho I still sometimes return trash talk...I try to keep my chat window minimized and focus on playing.
It all comes down to perspective, but for the record...I never started any trash talk. You would say in zone to someone "Yeah, ppl hate me cuz I'm friends with and team with Ronin"...to which I would reply "No, ppl hate you because you guys think it takes skill to get 3x stacked Vengeance and then float above the hero hosp almost untouchable, killing ppl for 2 hours when they try to come out." Madness would ensue and the whole zone would break out on 1 side or the other about whether stacked Vengeance was an exploit.

Nobody is talking about unslotted toons. But the game isn't balanced around purpled out toons either. A blaster can, indeed, go into a zone with SO's and do well. A fort could do it in I13. But now, a blaster can still do it, but a fort needs to be purpled out to have a chance. Not really fair.
They were clearly overpowered in I13, and every good player admitted it. But making them useless wasn't the solution.

Than all the crying started and i decided to sit back and observe and when DR hit with i13 i stripped mine down the day it went live. Why? because i knew this was coming it's no way the vills will be allowed to keep such a powerful toon in pvp no way. And yes you can succeed with SO'd blaster easily.
I just rolled a /dev blaster today got him to 30, went to talos brought so so's from the vender and went to sirens and killed ppl for like 1 hour with fly lol wtf? freaking SO'd Flying blaster killing folks freaking amazing lol.
That would have been laughed at in real pvp, but now it's sexy lol. But no you probably wont do well with a SO'd fort.

No way vills OR heroes would be allowed to have such a powerful toon. I don't know any hero ATs that were this powerful either. I have been in zone with a a team of vills: 3 Stalkers and 3 Forts and watched as they killed 14 heroes without any problem. I think when a 1x6 man team can run all over 2 teams + and hold it down for as long as they want...there was probably a reason to cry/whine about it. I would just switch sides until they got bored, but anyone can recognize that this was the epitome of OPness.
As far as Blasters doing great with SOs and flying around...I'd say it depends on what server you play and at what time. I was on Freedom most of the day and earlier a mob of blasters were running amok at the vill base. This evening, all the flying stalkers logged on and surprise!...not so many flying Blasters with SOs all of a sudden killing everything in sight.

And the other part of it is, once 2 people put each other on ignore, then that ceases all trashtalk with a quickness...lol.
Virtue's PvP population is much smaller then I was lead to believe originally...so when I want more ppl, I'll load up the PB on Freedom. What's really funny, is ppl hate that PB just b/c he flies and fights, 10x more then they hated a Fort cheating with triple stacked Vengeance...hilarious to me.
Here's the thing...I don't know you or Ronin to "love/hate" either one of you or anyone else in the game. Those are strong emotions reserved for real life like the high-end escorts I use, Hitler & the Holocaust/Osama Bin Laden or even my old Army First Sergeant who was a real ahole that didnt care about the well being of the soldiers under his command etc etc. I do dislike anyone's PLAYSTLE that dictates they cheat in PvP. Not only hospital buffing a toon, but to triple stack Vengeance for themselves and upto 4 ppl on a team of Forts/Brutes etc that already have superior defense is cheesy as h-e-l-l (only my opinion). Once I realized that a lot of ppl in the game overlooked that he needed to cheat in order to play simply b/c hes been a longtime standing PvPer then yeah...I stopped with the arguing and just hit the petition button when I saw him doing the exploit, which was about every 5 minutes.
The main point of contention came from a Stalker, named Matt, that told me Ronin stopped using his blaster and focused on his Fort b/c too many heroes were always trash talking him (+ he was a Stalker, what did he have to worry about from a Vengd Blaster when its a game of Hide N Seek?). No, he used his Fort mostly due to the fact you get more mileage out of triple stacking Vengeance on a defense toon (Forts-75% vs Blaster-52.5). It just made it easier to float in place and take minimal dmg but pump out massive dmg. A lot of ppl cried for a DR solution partly b/c some Blasters figured out how to become a Tank in PvP. Ronin on his Fort figured out the same thing...
Bottomline, I started PvPing awhile back for the challenge and fun of it. If you have been PvPing since the zones 1st came out and are so bored, don't want a challenge anymore and want to "GODMODEOMGOWNPAWN!", then why not go back to PvE or take a break altogether?
Back to the original spirit of the post, Forts still do well as ppl have pointed out. It just comes down to the mentality of the ppl that play. If you want a Fort (or any AT) to do well, just need to work on it. If you want a supereasy/challenge free PvP toon that you dont even need to IO, then yeah...a Fort probably isnt it anymore.

I play differently depending on my mood. Sometimes I want a challenge, and sometimes I just want to relax. The problem is that you basically called me out saying I was a noob simply because on SOME occasions (when I happened to be on the same side as Ronin, and he happened to invite me), I would play with lots of buffs. Granted, it was a reasonable assumption....if I ran into someone that was using all those buffs, I'd think they were a noob too. But in your case, you were talking to one of like 3 oldest PvP'ers left in the game hehe. So it's an exception to the rule.
But Ronin's been gone for 2+ months, and I still do just fine, as you've probably seen. So that should tell you something 
Anyway, maybe should can team up sometime. I've played a PB in PvP for like 2-3 years, you know

As far as me calling anyone a n00b, I can't deny when a person has skill...so it was of an emphasis to be placed moreso on a person's mentality. My 11yo nephew can't wait to kill me all day on Super Smash Brothers and then "LOL!" when he beats me. Im a good enough sport and let him win usually b/c I dont need my ego stroked plus, I love to see the kid have fun...but you get what I'm saying. Like i said before, I apologize for not recognizing that some ppl just enjoy "OMGPAWNZ!"; you are right, it can be relaxing. Just never been my thing but thats me and who the hell am I?

Like I said in the above posts...I'm not into "god" toons. The same reason why I solo and don't team and the same reason I never agreed with anyone that promoted using 4 accounts to stack Vengeance on an already OP toon to fight 2 teams worth of ppl and beat all of then basically solo. I play the toons that I enjoy and thats what I'll spend a billion dollars on. It's more challenging to me to beat someone with a toon that not everyone has as opposed to the same cookie cutter build.
But if you use that philosophy overall...then everyone thats into god mode is going to be playing the exact same toons b/c PvP is unbalanced like ppl have stated. I hate seeing 10-20 of the same FOTM builds floating around in PvP, but thats just me and I understand why it happens. Some ppl just want the god mode option and I'm not going to get into a discussion about skill...but y'know.
