Unlockable content question

I played a couple of missions and got enough tickets to unlock the costumes for the Arachnos VEATs.

Not a big deal, I know. But I can't find the costume pieces in the critter editor to make them, which makes me wonder: Will I have to unlock the features in-game before they show up as options in the critter editor?

I haven't lvl'd a villain high enough to unlock the VEATs but I'd still like to be able to create missions that feature VEATs. Similarly for stuff like Auras or Roman costumes or Rularuu artifacts and other whatnot. Do I have to unlock them in-game before I can use them?

That'd be a bummer if I did...

Or am I just blind and totally missed them?

no, they should be in the editor
they may be different types. Like instead of tight it might be VEAT chest type

Would there be a preset available? You know, like Crab Spider? Or would I have to build it from scratch?

Well, here's an update...

I found the helmets for the Crab Spider but I'm still having trouble finding the other parts. I bought the Roman armor and the Auras and they seem to work fine. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places?

I believe it's only the helmets that you unlock.

Correct. If you reread the description of the costume pack, it specifies that you're getting the helmets and makes no mention of any other Arachnos costume pieces.

Ah! That makes sense. I was so excited to be able to get costume pieces I didn't slow down to see what I'd be getting. Thanks, Demon Hunter.

Now, are the other pieces available somewhere and I just missed them? Or are they options that'll come later, like when the Kheldians are added?

When you edit a VEAT's costume slot #1, you're put into a much more restricted version of the editor which has different slots from the normal costumes, limited pieces to pick from, etc. My guess is that given we don't have the VEAT powers in there in the first place, putting in this hybrid editing mode for costumes that can't even use the crab arms on your back and such wasn't a priority. We might get it in the future if they add in the VEAT sets.
