Enhancement combineing system
my suggestion first for this is to spell check. I am sorry but if you want to be serious and add a suggestion then spell check to help it be more presentable.
Also if you are in a group and you need to re-enhance then they should have no problem or waiting. OR you could just go in later, it is not like it is hard to level in the game anymore.
oh yes to the idea whatever it is /unsigned

Is it possible to speed up the combineing process? It is really frustrating when u gotta re-enhance in a hurry, and ur team is waiting on u and it takes forever. My suggestion would be to speed it up or eliminate it completely.

Please be more specific about what you are suggesting.
I am going to guess that you are referring to the enhancement slotting process. If that is correct then my response an unequivocal no.
The only delay that lies in the slotting process is purely the fault of the player doing the slotting. For example, I play both heroes and villains. and at level 7 I start slotting basic IO's.
Invention enhancements DO NOT combine, slotting takes seconds. Everything is one drop shopping.
If you CHOOSE to use training enhancements, DO's, or SO's then that's the price you pay. You knew those enhancements were temporary when you bought them. You have no one to blame but yourself when you have to replace them.
Welcome to the forums, and please keep those ideas coming
what forbin said. couldn't say it any better myself.
lmao. hope your not in to much pain. it suck when there's problem with the chompers.
ouch. hope everything turns out good for ya.
I wouldn't mind if they added the ability to drag and drop combinable enhcements. If you drop a SO dam on a slotted SO dam it should offer to combine them (if possible).
i think it does this already. at least eveytime i've used so's it has.
Yeah the only delay is that little count up to 100% or the occasional failure message when they don't successfully merge.
But again that's the price of using those types of enhancements.
Oh and thanks for the sympathy Shark. This soreness is much better than the pain from the problems being fixed. (and it wasn't cavities, problem was infections below the gumline)
I mean out side of the combination screen. Right there where you slot them just plop it on top and instead of asking to replace or whatever it says it asks if you want to combine (again if applicable).
oh, i see. instead of the combine screen opening just have a pop-up for the combining.
Yep a simple looking combine pop up. No needless animations or effects.

Ok. Yeah I thought that myself a few times back before I9 went live and I started using IO's.
yeah, me to. i use io's now. they dont expire which means more savings. and i dont have to change them for like 10 lv's or more depending on which ones i slot.

Tell me about it. I slot IO's at level 7 and I don't worry about replacing them till level 27. I just fill the new slots with whatever IO is cheapest till I'm ready to do my first reslot in my 30's
Clearly it's a QoL change that wouldn't effect people who didn't use combinable enhancements...but I fail to see how that is reason to not have it.

If it's a simple thing to code, then sure why not. On the other hand if it requires a lot of work, then leave it as it is, we've had it like this for 5 years, it's a Qol not something gamebreaking.
because it already asks if you want to combine them. and if people are trying to keep their enhancements green then they should consider making those generic io recipe drops and slotting them. while leveling there really is no need to keep your enhancements green at all times. thats 3 lv's of buying the same so's over and over wasting hard earned infl/inf.

So you can drag and drop outside of the combine screen already?
It's just a waste of time
thats not what i said. if enhancements can be combined, it opens the screen for it. and like i said before, there is no need to keep your enhancements green. and if you use io's instead of do's or so's then you dont have to worry about it. problem solved.

I just had a guy (running almost exclusively on SOs) hit 27 last night, and reoutfitted him pretty much from head to toe with level 30 SOs. I agree that the process is tedious.
Thoughts on how they could streamline it:
1) Most directly, reduce the animation for combining enhancements, ie. the time it takes from when you hit the button to trigger the merge until completion.
2) When you drag-and-drop an enhancement from the tray to a power, simply combine the things, with a float message for Success or Failure. Bypass the whole Combine Enhacements screen.
3) Double click an item to drop it into the slot on the Combine screen, rather than drag and drop. So: click the power to open the screen; double click an enhancement to put it in the first slot; double click an enhancement to put it in the second slot; hit Merge. No wrestling with balky mice, missing the slot by a fraction, etc.
My scrapper doesn't need an AoE. She IS an AoE.
