Myth Breaker: Drops from HOF arcs.
I just popped on to test to check.
- HoF does lock the arc from being edited.
- HoF does indeed grant you another arc slot.

Check out one of my most recent arcs:
457506 - A Very Special Episode - An abandoned TV, a missing kid's TV show host and more
416951 - The Ms. Manners Task Force - More wacky villains, Wannabes. things in poor taste
or one of my other arcs including two 2010 Player's Choice Winners and an2009 Official AE Awards Nominee for Best Original Story
Aside from the discussion, I'm so glad this one got HoF.
It was the first mission I played on Test, so it was my first impression of the entire MA system. I enjoyed it and was surprised at the quality; was almost thinking that Sturgeon's Law didn't apply to the MA (I was wrong, but it's nice to have that first impression).
Dr. Spectre of the Midnight Avengers
Taxibot 1
Getaway, of the Rogue Isles Getaway Service
Golden Ager of the GotGA

Probably get flamed for this but it really seems like HoF is just the poor mans DC. The off-beat cheap brand if you will.
The "store bought brand" to DC's "name brand". At the very least i'd prefer if HoF came before DC on the arc list search.
Just one players thought.

I have to agree and wonder since so few arcs made Hall of Fame why were they not moved over.

I'm in the "glad HoF missions drop tickets" camp as well. Tickets offer more control over the rewards you receive and allow you to buy things that can't be bought with any other resource. If I want regular rewards there's plenty of newspaper missions or regular arcs out there I can run to get them.
"Striving for the impossible" doesn't mean "toiling in vain". It means growth. It means improvement in the direction of your ideals. Not futility.

Because unless I'm mis-remembering rates don't transfer.
They also require 10x the rates on live as on test. (Test only required 100+ 5-star average rates)
A Warrior's Friend: ID 335212 - Help Infernal save Valkyrie from Battle Maiden.
Above Mars Part 1: The Wellington: ID 159769 - Save Mars by destroying a monstrous battleship from the inside!

Well Dev's Choice was also way easier to get on test, especially during closed Beta and yet some of those are moving. I am just agreeing that Tooney has a point in saying DC is more valued even though it is one person's view over many for HoF.

After being re-evaluated. By two people. And the requirements aren't different, unlike for HoF, where they are changing.
Also, there was only one HoF arc as of last night anyhow.
One drawback of the internet is how it has trained so many people to think that one day is a long time.

Ook. Yeah, I don't like that. At least Dev's Choice gives you warning. And has more theoretical reason ("We want to preserve the versoin we saw."). The only reason remaining for this is ("We expect some of our players to achieve HOF and then try to pull a stupid stunt on the arc and screw with people who play what they think is a renowned quality arc.").
Grace period, at least?
"I think you're confused. This is /b, not /b/."
It does free up a slot; unless it's been radically altered.
The drops thing I have no idea where people actually got that idea; but HoF has always been about freeing up a slot. That's kind of the point beyond the badge.
