Retroactively purchase Veteran Rewards?

Please note that this is [u]not[u] a suggestion for [u]new[u] accounts to be able retroactively purchase Veteran Rewards.

<ul type="square">[*]I've had a CoX account since June 2004.[*]Between then and now, I have had to deactivate my account a few times due to real life factors (work, money, alien invasions etc)[*]Would it be possible to make the time 'missed' retroactively purchasable? It wouldn't even have to award the appropriate game play time - I just want the shiny Vet prizes![/list]

So yeah, I've had a CoX account since June 2004. Due to all sorts of real life factors I have had to sadly click the big red deactivation button between then and now. As such my total 'paid for' time is somewhere between two and three years and my Veteran Reward time chart is all sorts of a mess. Upsetting stuff.

Is there any way it would ever be possible for me to purchase the game time 'holes' and acquire the Veteran Rewards that I would of accumulated in this time? I am not even asking to purchase the appropriate 'game time' this would supposedly earn me. Just cash for shinies.

I mean really, all this truly is is me offering to throw money at the dev organ grinders in exchange for a few swanky badges that I would have otherwise 'paid for' by now. I consider myself one of those kooky 'vet' types and have always followed the game's progress while inactive. Absence, hearts, fondness, all that.

The time I have missed would pretty much cashwise equal in excess of $300. Even if folks in a similar situation were able to purchase small amounts of this at a time, it just seems like money for old rope.

Seems the debate got rather heated too with the flames of angerdom and badge rage and stuffs. Maybe I should just let this one fizzle out.

If it's any consolation this suggestion has been "debated" here in the forums continuously for years now.
You weren't the first person to start a new thread on this and you won't be the last either.

Bottomline Vet status in this game is a matter of consistently subscribed time, not just money.
You wouldn't just need 300+ dollars, you'd need some kind of real life time machine. Sorry.

The other sorts are illegal.

I think I threw search tips in that one. Something like this, give it a three month range and search for +vet (not veteran) and -"re: " - don't forget the space. That last bit helps a lot. &gt;.&gt;
