Individual, custom chest details would be very nice. I'd love to have one of my avatar for my eponymous toon.
Check out SexyJay's Costume Request Thread! It's more for suggestions about particular costume items, even chest decals.
Ideas about allowing custom decals, however, do fit here. And would be awesome. And almost certainly aren't going to happen, except maybe as the 120-month Vet reward. ;p (The badge text could be: "Ten years? You've been playing this game for ten years? ...Okay. We actually don't really care what you do any more. Just don't stain the rugs.")

I can't think of any practical way to allow customized character-specific items of any kind. But I still dream.

While player-made emblems are possible in another MMO (Which will remain unnamed), they will unfortunately never be made avaiable here. Why?
