Before I had my 2nd account, I can remember asking repeatedly for help to get to Icon. And you can't always count on a friendly person being willing to help out in zone.
I think an evening of "TPs to the tailor" is a nice idea, and might just really help out those poor lost fashion-victim n00blets.
Ourobouros isn't going to help a low level.

The Lotto - i was thinking this - my bro has lots of dice around so I borrow a couple and give people a random number 1-100 I put their number in the player notes and the date so I know who's who
have tickets given out from like 5-7pm and then do a drawing at 7:15 - do another roll and thats the number. If more than 1 person has it they split the winnings. if no one wins we add that into the next week pot 
I like the Lotto idea. How much do you need for prizes each week, Kult?
Also, for the Tailor idea, someone would have to go ALL the way to the tailor with them and back, Taxi-style, either by sidekicking and sprinting through the zone or by Recalling friend. I volunteer my fairy for this, she'll have Team Teleport on one of her builds anyhow and that way I could take 7 at a time.

Frankly, I think Group Flight is better than Team Teleport....TT only gives 25 feet/hop before slotting...
And doesn't Group Flight make more sense for a Fairy, with the Pixie Dust effect and all?
It can be slotted. She's got Flight and Teleport pools. I realized (when watching Charlie run triage, no less) that TP + Heal/Rez is more helpful than "Oh no I died trying to get to you...but here's a wakie for when that mob gets off your head."

For Team Teleport,
So let's suppose you 6-slot it, 3 End+3 Range, level 50 IOs
That's 99.1% end reduction and 58.5% range
Each hop with a full team will then cost you 10.05 endurance, and move you 40 feet.
The distance from the Atlas Park door to the Tailor is roughly (IIRC) 1.2 miles.
That's about 159 hops (along a theoretical optimal route), each taking at least 2 seconds
That's 318 seconds, at best (A bit over 5 minutes) and 1598 endurance. You'd need a minimal recovery of 5.03 end/second to make the trip perpetually. Roughly 4.71 would have your end run out near arrival. Those numbers are possible with buffs, but very high otherwise.
By comparison, unslotted teleport travels 300 feet per hop, for a needed 22 jumps (give or take a bit) costing 286 endurance over 44 seconds. You'd need a recovery of 6.5 end/second to make the trip perpetually (note, this is without end slotting!). Roughly 4.23 end/second would be enough to get there without running dry. If you were to then use unslotted Recall Friend, you'd add 4 seconds for the first teammate and 10 seconds/teammate after the first to the total travel time, making the trip in 108 seconds. That's with 2 powers you were going to take anyway, and no slots.
With group fly, you'd be travelling (unslotted) at 24.1 MPH, making the trip in about 180 seconds. Okay, it's not as fast as teleport + recall, but you get to make the whole trip together with the pixie dust effect!

Suggestion: to have our next New Players Welcoming Night shortly after the release of the new boxset "City of Heroes: Architect Edition".
The date I've heard for the boxset is April 14th, so... NPWN at the end of April, beginning of May ?

I think this is a good idea. However, as (I think!) Wolfie pointed out, we need to make it less complicated and less of a headache for all involved.
How about a BIG costume contest in Pocket D, an "intro to PvP" FFA (can be done after the CC), a bio contest (can be done at the same time as the CC or just after) and maybe the badge thing again, since those were the popular events (I think).
Thoughts? We still have WAY more than enough prize money for this. And Kult, how is your Lotto going?

<ul type="square">[*] From Fort Darwin in Mercy Island, you need to cross the whole zone to get to the Ferry or the Black Helicopter Line, then Recall Friend to the Face store. OR... Ouroboros portal to Cap Au Diable, then Recall Friend.
[*] You cannot get to Mercy Island from Ouroboros, so Recall Friend to the Ferry, and "Best o' luck... you're gonna need it..." (actually, once they're in Mercy Island, you can swim around the south-east edge of the island to get back to Fort Darwin).[/list]
