Don’t Let Me Make Money Off Your Ignorance!!!
A guide to not throwing inf away at the Consignment House/Black Market.

The first step is knowing how much vendors will pay for the items that are normally dropped in CoH.

Auto-Doc/Tree of Life in Super Group Base

  • Catch a Breath & Respite inspirations: 25
  • Medium inspirations except Emerge & Bounce Back: 200
  • Bounce Back: 600
  • Emerge: 0
  • Large inspirations except Escape & Restoration: 500
  • Restoration: 1500
  • Escape: 0
  • Super inspirations: 0
  • Base Salvage: 100
  • Base Components: 200
  • Common Invention Salvage: 250
  • Uncommon Invention Salvage: 1000
  • Rare Invention Salvage: 5000
  • Uncommon IO recipes: Level of recipe x 100
  • Rare IO recipes: Level of recipe x 200
  • Common IO recipes: Resale Value of Common IO Recipes
  • Any Crafted Enhancement: 0
  • Enhancements: Enhancement Prices*
*The Auto-Doc/Tree of Life won't buy your enhancements, but many other vendors will, at varying prices.

Market Listing Fee and Selling Commission: How It Works
Quote:
Now this consignment house is not free and we do have two types of fees. There is a Listing Fee, which is 5% of the price you list your item for. The minimum listing fee is 5 Influence. You get this fee back if you sell your item. There is also a Transaction Fee of 10% of the final sale price, which is deducted at the time of purchase. The 5% you paid when you listed the item is subtracted from the Transaction Fee. You will use your Influence to pay for these transactions.
Break-even prices for the items above (numbers you really, really need to know!)
Remember selling at these prices will not make you any more than if you sold to a vendor, they just won’t lose you money.
  • Small inspirations, except Catch a Breath & Respite: 10
  • Catch a Breath & Respite inspirations: 35
  • Medium inspirations, except Emerge & Bounce Back: 222
  • Bounce Back: 666
  • Large inspirations, except Escape & Restoration: 554
  • Restoration: 1666
  • Base Salvage: 110
  • Base Components: 222
  • Common Invention Salvage: 276
  • Uncommon Invention Salvage: 1110
  • Rare Invention Salvage: 5554
  • Level 10/20/30/40/50 Uncommon: 1111/2222/3332/4444/5554
  • Level 10/20/30/40/50 Rare: 2222/4444/6666/8888/11200

General Selling Strategies:
  • Sell as many extra inspirations of all sizes to the super group store as possible.
  • For maximum value, Emerge & Escape inspirations should always be converted into Bounce Back & Restoration inspirations.
  • Combine three small inspirations into Respites or Catch A Breaths, then sell those to the super group store.
  • If you can sell your small inspirations on the market for more than 9 inf, you've made more than if you would have combined them into a Respite or Catch a Breath.
  • Selling stacks of items (salvage, recipes) on the market is a better use of your transaction slots than selling individual items (enhancements, inspirations).
  • When selling more than 10 of one item, price the stack with fewer items lower then the larger stack to free up your market slots faster.
  • Earning market badges earns a character more market transaction slots.

He said that selling stacks of salvage in the Market earns toward badges, not vendors.

No thank you, my time is more valuable to me than the little bit of influence I would save using this method.

I have a simpler method: If it's a common IO recipe or enhancement that drops, I sell it to the vendor. Everything else goes on the Market. Works for me.

You’ll almost always make more selling any common IO recipe to a vendor than you will if you try to sell it on the market.

The main exception to this (if you don't mind my adding it) is Endurance Modification recipes from level 20+. I've generally found that not only are people willing to pay more than vendor price for them, for some completely inexplicable reason they're often willing to pay more than it would cost to buy the recipe from a workbench.
