Anyone Playing????

Is anyone else able to actually log in and PLAY since the I13 launch. I was in for less than 5 min before I got kicked from the server...and haven't been able to connect to a patch server since.

Sadly, no. I just got home a little while ago, and have been trying to connect ever since.

Happily, I have most of tomorrow free so I can check it out then

The irony on my end is that I was having issues with crashing earlier in the day, then later at night I was sailing along pretty smoothly. Then they took all the servers down for about an hour and a half to fix the crash bug, and now I can't get back in.

Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

I was in for a good while, making sure all my little dudes and dudettes were in their day job spots, checking Went's, etc. and ran a few missions and killed a couple GMs for some merits. Logged shortly after the patch update announcement was made, and got involved in web surfing, and didn't make it back in.

Wait...there's a game?!

I was in just after the launch, but apparently there were some major crash issues for a lot of people (I never noticed any - I got a few Mapservs, though, but never outright crashed), so they did some emergency maintenance last night around 10EST.

Not sure about after that... I'll test it now. >.>

Edit: In, and lamenting my second build's lack of proper slotting again.

In other news, in the spirit of the board: Nurse Artifice!

:3 I really do like how her nurse outfit turned out. Though, I should see if there aren't any new/better options for her..

As of this morning, in with no problems. I think once they stopped having everyone and God trying to log in at the same time, they were able to reset/patch/fix/whatever the patchupdate, login, and server selection servers/routers.

And thus Kharmic Strike was born... yet another character I'll want art for... gotta love energy/pain corruptors.

I was finally able to use the duct tape provided in another forum (have test server patch, override the real exe with the fake exe, edit properties....ugh). Anyhow, I was finally able to get in again and make my shield character.

I loved some of the new shield I hadn't seen, but was disappointed the high-tech, futuristic wrist shield has apparently disappeared.

I got in last night but only because Sassy gave me a heads up when it went online. So i got the updater going early. Made a shield scrapper and got all my characters in their dayjob positions.


The shield set looks like it will be alot of fun!! I got the tech shield.

You buy the Talsorian shield with Vanguard merits. Get your shield wielder to 35 and bash some Rikti around in the RWZ.

In the meantime, the energy shield with the tint turned down to black or dark grey is somewhat similar, though it's downright blinding if you turn it all the way up to white.

I'm really impressed with the way you can combine the patterns and emblems to create some interesting looks. Shields are a great addition just from the standpoint of style. *heh*

Current theory is:

200 Council of any type;
Slayer or Silver Bullet;
Council-related TF badge.

I'm betting money on the first two options, as the third doesn't make a lot of sense for villains.

It is a rather nifty shield design, though.
