And it wasn't a canon organization I was arguing about, as I later clarified after some time to calm down. It was the explicit godmodding of dev created, plot significant NPC's. I'd of had no problem with it being random members of the menders, or rogue menders, or anything player created. However you used particular NPC's, whose personality, goals and actions are up to their owners to decide, not you.

Well, both are mostly liquid, and they've an outer skin that holds their insides in, and they're reasonably good for you, contain sugars, come from a natural source and you can't see through them easily.

As far as others thinking I was aiming at them, the truth is, I do not see where anyone else would have even posted had FFM not previously posted. In the future I will ensure that I put "RP ONLY, PLEASE NO OOC". While some view our stance of common courtesy as "politically correct", it is not. I do not care what you send me as a message, and if i write on an ooc forum, I assure you I can give as well as take. However, this was the ruining of a thread, and if one cannot see that, then I don't know what else to say. I am not a young man anymore, and this is probably a young man's/lady's argument now.
As far as "dude", my meaning was that if you are going to chastise someone's literary talent, it is never good to start off with "Dude"...LOL....I refuse to back down from that one.

As far as my writing ability, I must agree it is not tops. However, unless you have been published and your story lines are still being used on game servers, then you probably wouldn't want to compare your credentials. You know nothing of me except what was taken from a few rough posts that were not intended to be published anywhere other than on this forum. It only shows your initial intent when you posted your original critique, and judging from the conversation in this thread, apparently you were hunting for someone to do just that to, having been chastised for poor rp not long prior. I am sorry it made you feel bad, but taking it out on someone's rp thread is not the way to go about it.

Also, I am struggling to follow whom you are addressing in that post - it looks like it starts with you addressing me (since you quote me at the beginning) and then seems to shift to someone else, since it refers to things I have not taken a stance on.
I do not consider this the proper place to discuss the variations in the written word as applied by various posters on this forum, but I will comment that it is not unusual for me to refer to someone as "squire" (assuming I know they're male), and it is not unusual for FFM to call someone "dude". It's actually meant as an indicator that whatever is said is intended to be taken in a friendly manner, since if there was a real intention to slate someone, it's easy enough to call them a "******* idiot".
My only personal concern on this thread is and has always been that you, the OP, have taken the stance that this thread was not intended to be open to others to post in. Fine, but without explicitly stating it people will always assume they have the right to post in an open forum, just as you assumed that they would choose not to, and you know what they say if you assume something.
To give you my full laser-critique on the whole thing: I'd have liked to see a spell-checked version, too, since it wasn't actually that bad a read. I think FFM should have not bothered to post. I think that the whole "derailment" could have been avoided if you had either ignored or accepted FFM's opinion rather than getting defensive about it. I think that the argument between various people on this forum and in the game (yes, Union RPers, I'm looking at a large number of you) has spilled somewhere it's not needed, pointlessly. I think there was room for improvement in some of your (the OP's) ideas. I think there is a knee-jerk response from some of the people who have posted in this thread just because other people they don't agree with have posted, without taking their comments on board.
I want the original posts to be returned, I want this thread to continue, and I want the idiotic and pointless arguments to stop. I can't do anything to make any of those things happen, but that's the extent of my feelings on the matter.

My apologies for the second quote, I just did a copy and paste of it. So I copied and pasted the other quotations, ending up with you being the "author" of it accidently.
Even though I quoted you, Shadowe, the post was not intended to be directly aimed at you.
I do apologize for my own comments. The troll ones will be removed probably by the time this is read. I am normally a very easy going person, however, this is not a good reflection of that at all. In the scheme of things, what does any of this really matter.

This dispute seems to be winding down a bit so I would like to make the suggestion that we begin to limit the posts about the argument to private messages and start to restore this thread to its origional purpose.

Or do you mean the criticism you recently levied at me for story content? If you do, the two are unrelated. This thread is regarding my criticism of spelling and English. Yours was objecting to my using canon organisations in fiction (something the OP did, and you didn't complain about, I'll add.).
Oh, and my story WILL be back. I took it down temporarily and will repost it once I've finished the main story that follows it.
