It's always heartwarming to hear stories of people helping each other out.
Kind of odd, because I had a similar experience while Trick or Treating on my newbie tanker. >.> Some Dark/* Defender would see me struggling, and throw heals my way to even out the odds, and stayed around until I was safe before moving on.
Thinking back, maybe I should have thanked him. Was kind of tired and in the 'scrapper-lock' mode I've perfected on my main. Hmm.
Awesome piece, though, for an awesome reason. :3 We can only hope that more people will be motivated to lend a hand in need, not for the rewards... But that warm, fuzzy feeling.
EDIT: And I may have to fire up my Dark/Psi and see what I can do for other people tomorrow. One of those karmic wheel things - Get helped by someone, help others to keep it going.

Chiming in again... while goofing around in Talos, I ran into none other then Fatal Mind! Twice, no less.
Didn't really need the help either time (People tend to freak out when I get low health on my MA/FA scrapper - riding the lightning with my self-heal is far too amusing for me), but I appreciated it all the same. Sadly, by the time I realized who it was, they were gone. 
If I see them again, I'll try and point them this way.
While playing a new hero, like most people, started out in Atlas. Join a sewer team and found out that they were lvls 7-10... that kinda baffled me a bit, so i told them that i was going to leave and thanked them for the invite.
While outside the entrance t the sewers there was a guy who buffed me up with Accelerate Metabolism. I thanked him and went off to do some trick or treating. while taking some damage i was quickly healed. Can you guess who was there to save my butt? yep, the same guy who hit me up with some Accelerated Metabolism earlier. Thanking him once again I headed off. About 20 mins later he was still there helping me tackling large groups of Hellions and Vals. ....
ok, the moral of my story (if you can call it that) is that i was very overwhelmed by his kindness. I don't know about you guys, but lately i have noticed a lot of "socially inept" people. It might be because i play at a late/early morning time or the time of week i play. heck it might even be the server i'm on. But being having someone just do some random acts of kindness was very surprising to me. so to say thanks, i offered to do a sketch of his hero. so with out further ado here is
