Composition wise, the regular screenie is better since it doesn't split the camera in two. The widescreen one clips with the edges a little too much and the two areas of negative space are disjointed because of it.
If you make a border, make it a dark color, so as to not interfere with the overall look and draw your eye away. The picture itself is beautiful, so you want to keep the viewer looking at that, instead of a big wall of text or an overly saturate bounding box. For text, I'd leave it out entirely, or do something simple and small in one of the corners. Lower left corner has some open negative space to work with, so that should be a good spot for it. Avoid a very serifed font, as scriptwork will again distract you from the main focus.
It's really good to see someone put their efforts into the creative field even if they don't have the skill to craft something from scratch yet. This is every bit as nice a gesture and the piece is very pretty. I hope she enjoys it.

Manipulated. Put her character in the BatZul hell map, with the Rise of the Phoenix effect behind her. Exported the screenie to Paint Shop Pro to retouch the colors a bit.

This proves once again that this game's graphics engine is just fine, that the Serrated Sugar hair style is probably the single greatest hairstyle in the game, and that wings were definitely worth the wait (and have incredibly well done animations).
The best comics are still 10�!

So, the forum is Screenshots and Fan Art, right? I have a newbie friend who joined the game three days ago and made a Fire blaster, and since I can't draw for squat or do any of that fancy "art" people do, I made her this gift screenshot:

I think it needs an extra "finish" maybe a frame or the name somewhere, but figuring that out is already too artsy for me.
