Time to get cracking on I-13's teaser and trailer!

Who else is going to take a shot at making videos for Issue 13? Yeah, I know the announcement just went out today, but I gotta plan! (And this time, I am going to starve myself for the week before I even suspect the issue goes live to avoid getting food poisoning again while trying to finish the trailer.)

maybe just some show an empty road and do some quick cuts and have some assorted mob's come out and do some sort of taunt.. then have them vanish and replaced by something different.. like have one Malta Agent.. .. the zap in a sapper.. then replace them both with some Zeus's .. then go to a Titan..

Oh man, I'm going to have to sit this one out. I hardly have time to even play CoX anymore with the projects they have us doing in school now. I still want to help test the issue in Beta during my free time, but making a video would be way too time consuming >.< Good luck to ya though DR and everyone else that decides to make something!

Hmm, how about a blue/green screen effect. Mobs standing in a warehouse, shift to greenscreen, then poof they're in an office, no, wait, it's the shadow shard, no, now it's a sewer, etc. Maybe even have the mobs complain about all the map shifts and costume changes.

I have an idea but not the time to do it due to a recent RL complication

- Starts off with the a toon typing in a laptop - camera circling.
- Camera cuts to leaked still image of the Mission Planner.
- Then quick cut to a black screen and then a map of a mission "falls" from the bottom to the centre... so that the camera lands inside the mission.
- Cut back to the laptop typing toon camera does another loop.
- Back to the mission, some appropriate mobs "fall" from the top of the screen in typical mob clusters in sight of the camera as it does a mini fly through of say a corridor.
- Back to the laptop toon, another circle...
- Cut to a Group of heros/Villains porting out via a terminal in the arena as if for a match.
- See the same group appear the the mission where the camera happens to be fighting the mobs.
- Cut back to Arena with most of the group doing thumbs up or holding up a varitey of score cards.
- and then finally the first laptop toon doing either a bow or the victory emote.

That was my idea you might be able to use it or improve it.

You and me both - I've been a music buff since I was nine. My CD collection BEFORE I had to sell a lot of it off to make the rent and feed myself was 1000+, 75%+ of which was film scores and soundtracks.

My teasers and trailers tend to be a bit more... erm... cinematic? I don't know - more like movie trailers to hook in the players. So that's the sort of music I'm looking for.

Although "We Built This City" would certainly work if I did a 'how to use the mission creator' video! And the same goes for "She Works Hard for the Money" for Day Jobs!

I had had a couple of ideas which I'll share just in case the music piques your interest (and since I'm unlikely to do either myself, although you never know):

#1. Music: "March of the Toys" (Babes in Toyland) - Similar to what Dark_Shade described. A character with a laptop. Starts by cycling through several maps. Picks one. Then starts placing different enemies, cycling through several different enemy groups. The music would come in because the idea centered around cutting back and forth between the character with the laptop and a "behind the scenes" on a warehouse map where the dev characters (I was thinking Positron, BABs, Castle, & War Witch) are using machines to create the mobs (in ranks) and then march them through a portal, then cutting back to the mobs "popping in" where the character wants them. Cycling through several mobs would culminate with the laptop character "ordering up" ghost sharks with jet packs on their backs (using the spirit shark model Leandro found coupled with a same location puddle w/ sky raider jet pack FX), at which point Positron has enough and the devs retaliate. End.

#2. Music: "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" - Basically centered around a more or less direct parody of the Fantasia bit where a character steals a "dev tool" (of some sort) from Positron. (Not as thought out and would be pretty long given the length of the music piece).

Feel free to borrow any of that you like.
