I found this thread on DAs Rip Board and there is a bunch of art on there that is ours, even some of mine was stolen.

Err.. from the indication I got from people who answered the thread, it seemed the person could be using the place as storage, not to claim it's his...

I think it depends on the license you choose when you post art. Having these on their Photobucket doesn't necessarily mean they're ripping them off.

Before we go crazy nuts, you should just email the person and ask them to take your art down if you don't want it on there. If they don't, then we'll burn them at the stake.

Also, if anyone sees my art on there, please let me know, 'cos, man, that's way too many pictures to sort through.

Sorry, but you'll just have to get used to people doing this kind of stuff and the fact you can't do anything about it.

Well, the easiest way to deal with unauthorized distribution or infringement is to contact that person directly, apparently. Going through 5,000 images even with a search box is a little overwhelming. Your best bet is to actually contact the site itself, and then note your actual pieces that were distributed, and have them removed that directly.

Just my two cents.

Are you guys just looking through the search? because that looks at all public folders and not just his. I have a lot of my art collection up on Photobucket with a note on them who did them. When I did a search on "baquitania" it popped up 15 and some of those were from my account and none were from the account linked in this thread.

That's pretty much what you have to expect if you post anything on the internet.

I'm not surprised to see none of my crappy DA works are on there... but when I put in "Mantid" I find pictures of me!
