Ragdoll, oh Ragdoll, where for art thou Ragdoll?
Sadly, I have not. I tried pasting a few of the old ragdoll lines into a new demo a while back but it didn't do anything (where in the past doing so would create some really contorted characters).
I poked around internally to see what was up with this... someone has put it on their task list, although low priority.

Thanks for checking and the update.

This is the first public support (as in response to a problem) ever shown the demoeditor that I can remember!
A new era continues to dawn!
Thanks!

Has anyone had any luck getting the "Ragdoll" entries to show up in the demorecord files since, like i7?
I really miss recording cool knockbacks and having they replay accurately.

!?!? Ragdoll has never recorded right. Going from memory here but originally in I6 it looked pretty much like we have now. Then it looked HORRID in I7 as enemies would instantly fall down with no animation at all. Then it went back to this. We've had ragdoll entries before that look like they are trying to record the physics data but I don't think they ever actually worked.
Yeah, I can't recall ragdolls ever looking correct in demorecords. I can't imagine the data that the demorecord files would have to contain to get them to look the same every time anyhow.
The same data the server sends to our PCs when it tells our clients to knock them back.
Some stuff in demos actually doesn't look the same each time. The Propel power will spit out different objects each time and Slag Golems will have different junk in their bodies.
Check this out. The all the scenes around the first chorus (:37) have the ragdoll entries. Some of the fights later (1:00, 1:44) do not. You can see a dramatic difference in how the mobiles react to getting hit and knocked around. (and yes thats how long ive been working on this)

Correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure you will!), but I thought ragdoll effects were all unique client-side. What I saw that happenened to that Vortex Cor Leonis Force isn't what you saw happened to him, and not what the third person on the team saw, etc.
Do the demofiles even record the specifics of ragdoll?
Cats are independent, they don't listen, they don't come in when you call, they like to stay out all night, and when they're home they like to be left alone and sleep. In other words, every quality that women hate in a man, they love in a cat. - Jay Leno
Here is a demo file that I got my footage from for the scenes around :37s into my video. Notice the "EntRagdoll" entries. Those no long appear in demorecords. Instead you get some canned "MOV" entries that just dont look very good and nothing like what you saw while playing.
Edit: It doesnt even playback properly now. Its like the ragdoll entries are being ignored and you get the sad KB playback as you would see from current demorecords.

Yeah, those ragdoll entries were looking better than what we have now. Still not like in game but definitely better. We were getting them for the last third of 2006 or so. Probably in with Issue 7 and out with Issue 8.
Still, I would really like good ragdolls. I hope that low priority gets in sometime.
