wowza. Everytime I start to think I have a grip on Demorecord and movie making, I get knocked back into reality by a movie like Night Prayers. I can't even fathom how some of that stuff was done, but man O man was it done well. I don't know whether to be jazzed because it rocked or sad because my skills are non-existent. :-) Great stuff.

I loved Night Prayers... it just makes me long for the players to actually have the walking animation. Also, I have a character that looks and dresses almost exactly to the girl with the sword; the scary thing is that the character just happens to be a MA/SR Scrapper

Oh, hell.

*watches the other two videos by Vertical Studios and blanches even further*

Oh, bloody hell.

Watching stuff like this always rouses mixed feelings in me.

1) PRIDE - knowing that stuff like this actually EXISTS for COH/COX that is just that damned GOOD.
2) CHAGRIN - knowing that I can't do that quality of work.
3) DESPAIR - thinking I may NEVER do that quality of work.
4) RECKLESSNESS - fully intending to try anyway.

While I fully appreciate Lighthouse putting my vid in the same thread as NIGHT PRAYERS, my work doesn't hold a candle to it. NIGHT PRAYERS was fricking brilliant... and thankfully, it proves that a lot of the stuff I want to do in my vids is actually POSSIBLE.

I think it's the randomly hopping Positron. I don't know why, but something about that shot really tickled me. Well, and then there's always my like for the Blue.

I also learned that Superheroes may not make the best of stunt men/women, and that no matter how flexible you are, a 'behind the head leg stretch' just isn't a popular rock movement.

While I don't usually do multiple videos by the same group (to force me to do different types of vids), I am still very much tempted to do another BMG video, either to their cover of "I Feel Love", their cover of "Last Train to Transcentral" (now THERE was an obscure original song), or their original song "The Current."

Dunno about this one. I asked LH about stickying it, but he said there was too much clutter and suggested I make a clean post/thread with the videos in it.
