You can find pencil sketches for about $10 from some artists on DeviantArt and they do good work too.
I'm biased, but TheDart is having an extremely agreeable Christmas sale, and I happen to know the queue is pretty clear at the moment(Dart works fast).
Since I can't take any freebies on myself right around now, this iz zee best I can advise.
If you can afford $25, I'm also doing a sketch sale

Update
Bumping this, cause it's a new process... drawing was done in Illustrator, then inked in Flash, and flatted in Photoshop (only cause deleted the Flash by mistake)... so now all that's left is a couple if that, hours of rendering. I'm happy... the entire thing probably took 2 hours start to finish, if I combined the time spent in all 3 programs.
Oh and the client requested bigger boobs...

Well I may aswell put a little advert up my own self for my christmas sale.
My gallery can be found in my sig, I've got ten dollars off all color and color /w background pictures.
In other words
20 dollors for a fully colored in photoshop drawing of any character.
30 for full color with a background (exceptions made for extreme detail backgrounds)
That is a pretty neat character, I can take a whack at a pencil drawing of her this evening. Take the color offers into consideration, I gaurantee you won't find many out there who do full color commissions for 20 bucks.

All that said -
I cannot pay for a pencil work of my dear character - that would be what, 50 bucks at least? So, I'm creating this post to see if a good soul out there would like to do it. In return, we could agree on me doing something for you
