This base was the first design I was actually satisfied with enough to post pics of.
I have three bases. Two personal on Virtue (the above SG and a VG I'm still working on) and one I inherited on Freedom. (I don't use it, but the SG belonged to a friend and I'm keeping it active in case he ever comes back. He left before bases were in the game and I'd like to have a cool base design put together for him as a welcome back present.)
Oh there's also a base on the test server but I don't count that since I use it for storage and the devs could wipe the test server at any time.
Please I hope no one thinks I'm upset. I truly am in awe of what I've seen by the pics posted here. There are many gifted architects playing this game. They have nothing less than my honest admiration, and they deserve recognition.
The only negative feelings are solely directed at my own shortcomings. Disappointment in my inability to master the Magic Desk, and the realization that my imagination isn't as fertile as the true masters.
I'll keep trying tho. In fact I'm gonna go pull up those other two bases and post pics of the rooms I'm proud of in them.

And if you ever decide you want/need help with the magic desk thing, feel free to contact me. I have enough alts, I can throw one in your SG for a while and help you out. Or I can build a room under your supervision if you like. Feel free to PM me here as its hard to reach me in game. I have more than one account and too many alts to count so its hard to say which toon/account I'll be on. Unless you go into the basebuildersinc. channel in game. Then just ask for Comic_Relief from the boards. If I am not in edit mode with my chat window closed, I'll see it.

Thanks. I'm actually giving a lot of thought to asking for help. Tonight I scrapped everything but the Medbay on my VG base. It wasn't jelling, it looked ugly. I deleted 1 room on the Freedom base for the same reason. So you may be hearing from me soon.
Edit: I figured out how to complete the base on Freedom. I just need to build up base components to craft what I need to finish that base for my friend. Hmm. Or I can transfer the base components on an alt from Virtue to Freedom after I12 hits and we can buy more slots. Anyway the only base I'm concerned with now is my VG.
And here it is, my most recent project. Took about 5 days. It is a voodoo/magic themed SG on the Virtue Blue side. The base is "located" in the Louisiana Bayou and travel to Paragon is done via you guessed it, TP.

Your Bayou and Dojo are truly amazing works - I just WISH I had your sense of style - my bases never seem to have a nice flowing theme in them.

Rhynwa, I am sorry the pics are a bit dark. For the sake of atmosphere I made it dark in each room and relied on torch light to give a warm glow effect. But when I get a chance I can enhance the pics to bring out more light

I assumed that the light was low for atmosphere - and it totally works! - I was just suggesting that you turn up the lights for pics, then reset them to where the belong...
...but, I guess I will just have to ask for a base tour as well! What server are you on? :-)

Thanks Midfra and Rhynwa! It was alot of fun showing you both around. (Rhy I still owe you a tour of the Bayou though )) And it was a blast seeing the bases both of you have done.
Rhy - you did an amazing job in your bar and everything you've "floated" looks fantastic! Your very organized for your group (to which they should be grateful IMO :P) I'm looking forward to seeing more from you in the future. (oh and i'm totally borrowing your bottles trick for the kitchen in the base I've been putzing with lately)
And Midfra, I'm already proud of you! (i'm still going to stea....errrr borrow your gaming area idea one of these days :P) You are also the inspiration for part of the current base I am working on. But you have to wait for pics :P :P
Egads, this won't be nearly as good as some of the stuff I've seen here, though I've just started to learn how to play with the base. I spent half the day doing this (was done without much planning. =| And I have no sense of design) mostly to learn how to use the infamous Magic Desks effectively.
Medlab - Base View: View of the Medlab as you approach it through the base.
Medlab - Emergency Arrival: For the "had to flee from battle" situations.
Medlab - Minor Recuperation: This is the "get up and walk away" type injury recuperating area.
Medlab - Long Term Recuperation: For those times when you are out cold for several weeks.
Medlab - Long Term Recuperation pt 2: Better view of the area
Medlab - Equipment/storage: Those badly placed flammable/explosive items that will surely be blown up some time soon.
Medlab - Waiting room: Place to relax while waiting for a checkup, or to make sure a friend survived.
Medlab - Medical Books: All the books a doctor needs to be able to fix a super hero, be they brute, demon, or tiny foxgirl.
Medlab - Operating Area: For check ups, metal removal, power renewal, and villain sabotage.
I am sorry about the lighting being dark in a few of the images. Not sure how I want to do the lighting in the Emergency Arrival and Minor Recuperation areas yet so they are still unlit with the black room lighting. Side note, I plan to work on the rest of the base in baby steps!

As far as lighting, hospitals are all very brightly lit - but operating theaters have directed light. However, that might be overkill in a base :-)

great work on both bases EnnVee! Lots of stacking in the VG base....I have to admit I got a chuckle out of the VG workshop because the two eyes on the wall jump out at me like googly eyes...but not in a bad way lol. Kudos on both hangouts
My base is small but functional, have some nice stuff for the members. Im still on the 8x8 plot and cant really add anything else until we upgrade.

They really need to make some of these base plot designs tradeable/sellable ingame. The designers (Comic, I'm looking at you) really need to be compensated (either in real dollars or inf or prestige) for the time and effort they put in thier bases. Really, how different is time spent in base construction than time spent in farming or straight game playing? All of them require a subscription, all of them require in-game time; the latter two result in inf/drops or whatnot while good base construction is relegated to photobucket tours if you're not on their server. Maybe it will be an option with the new player generated content that the devs will allow.
