You know, you wouldn't have to worry about the safety of your characters if you just drew random people, that aren't your characters or anything, and have no backstories. That way no one could really steal them. That sounds like a neat idea, though.

And before I forget, you COULD just watermark all of your work. Or sign it. Or some other means of making the picture much harder to take and steal. Don't just sign it in the corner though, put the signature somewhere that would be hard to extricate without being glaringly obvious (say, on the inside of a drawn character's arm, across several different values of shading).

Well, I sign my art all the time. That's not really the point of the thread, there's nothing that'll convince me to put my stuff on the inteweb. I'm just looking for enough enthusiasm for this idea, so that if I decide to draw this picture and post it I get an efficient ammount of replies/critiques.
It'd be pretty hard for me to judge how "good" you were without seeing any characteristics or anything :P

I draw a person, just standing there, looking plain... This person wouldn't have a face or any characteristics: Just a showcase of my abilty to draw a person - I post it on dA, then you judge it!
This way I can get a good idea of how skilled I am(or atleats have someone give me a serious critique) and not worry about the safety of my characters or anything.
I'd put everything I've got into it - every muscle I know how to draw(or knows there
I'd need to make sure alot of people would be willing to participate before I do this, so that I don't work so hard only to get two or three replies...
So, does this sound like a good idea?
