Anatomy!
"Figure Drawing for all it's Worth" by Andrew Loomis
there is also "Anatomy for the Artist" but I am not certain who it is by.
you can also just go to your local Barns and Noble, or other major bookseller, and view the art section. There are always books on anatomy and figure drawing. They even have them in specialized catagories like Anime and "drawing the Marvel way" if you are into those type of styles. Just look through them all and pick one that you like.
There is always Amazon.com or simply Google "Anatomy" or "figure Drawing".
And when all else fails, go buy a couple body building magazines and study the muscles. You evidently don't need to draw people as big as they are in those magazines, but you will at least be able to see the muscles clearly to help give you a better idea of where they are and how they move.
Anyway, I hope some of that helps. And good luck to you.

For actual musculature those things are good, Gray's Anatomy (which while expensive and medical in nature has *brilliant* illustrations) is often what I have used for making mutations on human forms.
But what you might also start doing is buying muscle and fitness magazines. Those will show you the kind of superheroic bodies that we've got here in COH, and how those muscles look when covered with say, skin

A fullsize mirror is allso agood idea.
Sometimes when you want a specific pose it´s a boon to be able to stand in front of the mirror in that pose and then see how it looks in real life.
I would also like to add, don't discount drawing women. They are very different to draw and it's good to practice on them too. You can always giggle when you get to the crotch, butt, and boobies too.
Look for books by George B. Bridgeman if you want to learn "actual anatomy", though Gray's is what we all got as students in art college. I also like Burne Hogarth...
If you want a really pretty book on anatomy, that isn't just black and white detailed drawings, Anatomy for the Artist by Sarah Simblet is visually stunning... however if we're talking comic book anatomy...
I just bought Pictures and Poses which comes with a bonus CD of 600 more photos all for Comic Artists. I think he also has a Fantasy based one... but you should know these are NOT anatomy teaching books, they're picture books with great angles to use for your swipe files.
I've ordered Drawing Cutting Edge Anatomy by Chris Hart, but again I think he writes books for people who know their stuff and just want to improve.
Good luck...

Well, here's the deal: Right now I'm in sort of a "improving my artsing skills" stage.
I've been just trying to come up the funnest(I know its not a real word) and most challanging poses to draw, so I can aceive a better knowing of how muscles bend and flex... and more importantly where they are.
So instead of psetering everyone about this and that I'll just ask if anyone knows of a good book on drawing...*shiver*... anatomy...
I'm not interested in women, I mean, I just don't draw them that often(you can take that literally too ), so something on men is better.
Now, why do I botehr you people with this? Becuase I figure someone here must have a book or two, and know where to direct me, because so far I've gotten where I am from watching Survivor and playing video games.
Any advice is helpful too.
